Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 are there clubs using ets rings and also using manual clocks with rubber guttys
cemetary Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 Yes, a no off a couple of clubs using both, we only use the ETS.
Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 Yes, a no off a couple of clubs using both, we only use the ETS. how do they get away with it as you have to state your number one clock
PIGEON_MAN Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 We still have some members in our club that still use the ordinary clock.
lanarkshire lad Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 are there clubs using ets rings and also using manual clocks with rubber guttys UDDINGSTON
Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 so what you are saying is if a bird with a race rubber turns up thats your number 1 clock and if its the ets bird well thats yer number 1 clock
PIGEON_MAN Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 how do they get away with it as you have to state your number one clock Think I mistook what you meant, members either use ETS or a clock not both, although saying that I think it was 1 of the International races where if you used ETS you also had to have the bird rubbered and clock the rubber in within 30 minutes of timing with the ETS.
Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 Pilgrims again, in the feds, cheap skating, want to send lots of birds, but don't want to buy ets rings for them all so pull a fast one and get a gutty on the none fancied birds :o ??)
Guest spin cycle Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 are you at cross purposes??? is bigda saying 'are club members using manual clocks AND ets in the same race' ...while posters are taking the question as ' do clubs have some members on ets and other members on manual'
Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 if i had to find out this to be true i would fine, the culprits, and strip there results from club and feds results :-/
Williedoo Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 Some of the Aberdeen members use ets and get a manual clock set when flying with the SNFC. But this does not happen in Fed races, only one is used.
Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 i would have no problem with a gutty on provided it had the ets on as well
K J Young Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 what is the point of having ets and also sending some with rubbers, our club members all have ets and only set a manual clock when flying with the snfc as a back up.
Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 what is the point of having ets and also sending some with rubbers, our club members all have ets and only set a manual clock when flying with the snfc as a back up. having both on at the same time would be a safety issue, but trying to pull a fast one is another thing. and i would like to go through club results, to see if ets registered owners where conning the feds, and denying fed members positions in the fed. ??)
mealybug Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 You're only supposed to use a second clock if the first one fails, you can't use both in the same race.
K J Young Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 why would you think they were pulling a fast one . anybody who has ets and also rubbers some of there birds are of there head, it would,nt happen at my club
PIGEON_MAN Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 You're only supposed to use a second clock if the first one fails, you can't use both in the same race. You have to use both in some of the International races or you cant compete.
Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 but they way they use it now is if the bird with the rubber gutty on it turns in first in club races they are calling that there first clock, by doing this they are doing guys out of section positions in the feds all because they don't want to buy more ets rings and thats wrong and it should be made plain to clubs, it is illegal :-/
K J Young Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 who,s they and what clubs are doing this , I thought if you set two clocks you had to name your no1 clock , you cant just change it to suit what bird drops first.
cemetary Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 who,s they and what clubs are doing this , I thought if you set two clocks you had to name your no1 clock , you cant just change it to suit what bird drops first. Its a secret,
K J Young Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 it seems to be , either that its paranoia :-/
cemetary Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 it seems to be , either that its paranoia :-/ ??) ??) ??) ??) ;) ;) :P :P ;D ;D ;D ;D
Guest bigda Posted October 6, 2009 Report Posted October 6, 2009 UDDINGSTON would not be a hard thing to find out, just need to look at sheets handed in to the fed and see if there are guttys in the envolopes ??) in the young and old bird racing would only need to look in clubs that have ets maybe its worth a snoop
Guest KING BILLY Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 but they way they use it now is if the bird with the rubber gutty on it turns in first in club races they are calling that there first clock, by doing this they are doing guys out of section positions in the feds all because they don't want to buy more ets rings and thats wrong and it should be made plain to clubs, it is illegal :-/ your so far away from the truth your back home on the moon patenice leding the asiluem comes to mind if you have a ets in your club you dont get a clock set the only time you get a clock set is for the nationals just to be on the safe side of power failure and if the so called clubs that set both and one person has got half his doos with ets and the other with rubber guttys on then yes they should be reported the fanicer and the club but that dosent happen thats called cheating :( :(
