HOMER49 Posted September 27, 2009 Author Report Posted September 27, 2009 Hi Reliably informed that the day of L/F Wetherby race on 29/08/09 race the RAF were indeed flying sorties Cheers Homer 49

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 the furthest east fliers have the best location, is mac furthest east? map of the line of flight into the super lofts of the MacAloneys were the 95% of the fed fly to the west of there line of flight. Dont forget Delboy 50% Lanarkshire races in the last few years have been below 100 miles and these races are not from the south but are from the east/south east. Should be noted that although it favours this loft in the majority of the Lanarkshire races into the prevailing west wind they have also topped the Lanarkshire fed when the wind has been in the east which for me equates them to be fantastic fanciers in a great location.
Guest bigda Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 there you go, no drag to the west doos in forth, first drop then shotts, and clarkson, on west winds when you look at bigger at the botom on line of flight and where all the doos are trained from why are they not breaking from that point 30 mile out
Novice Posted September 27, 2009 Report Posted September 27, 2009 Hi Reliably informed that the day of L/F Wetherby race on 29/08/09 race the RAF were indeed flying sorties Cheers Homer 49 I would like to think that if this is the case then all unions should be attempting to talk to appropriate authorities to be informed of irregular air activities in advance. I am sure the authorities should advise us because of the safety implications for the pilots.

frank-123 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 i think we where warned about the air show being close by at the time what air show? i looked at the red arrows and typhoon display team both were south at the time of our liberation according to there website's http://www.aeroflight.co.uk/shows/showdate.htm our race from wetherby was on the 22nd august 2009
frank-123 Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 if there is west in the wind i reckon the birds race up the east the swing by the pentlands and first drop coatbridge/newmains my birds when coming home come out the east or north hardly ever south the clubs in west all report the same am i wrong? please remember the map is upside down i done that for bigda ;D
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 if there is west in the wind i reckon the birds race up the east the swing by the pentlands and first drop coatbridge/newmains my birds when coming home come out the east or north hardly ever south the clubs in west all report the same am i wrong? please remember the map is upside down i done that for bigda ;D Think you will find all the clubs in the 3 sections and not just the west were reporting their pigeons coming from east to north east.

harky Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 Would be great to have an answer to what happened that day of the Wetherby disaster, Has any Yorkshire lads ever noticed sorties by the RAF on Saturdays. AMERICAN F16,s. I was down there on Holiday and when these things flew past maybe 200 feet of the ground everthing shook and the noise was deafening , something i have never experienced in my life and totaly shat maself
johno Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 anyone that thinks 95% of lofts in lofts in lanarkshire fly west of the feds most prolific winner have no idea about geography or mathematics. step for a hint the world is definitely not flat. anyone who wants to do a bit of studying will find that all scientific methodologies available would lead to the proven conclusion that flying to a north westerly location in sw winds is at a distinct disadvantage. this is magnified even more when the pigeons are liberated east of the loft location. all liberation points on the old route and the new routes are east of coatbrige. this is a fact. another tip to start away with. look at the routes to usa the planes take. they fly in an arc not a straight line drawn on a map. the flat earth society is under severe pressure.

I was down there on Holiday and when these things flew past maybe 200 feet of the ground everthing shook and the noise was deafening , something i have never experienced in my life and totaly shat maself Quite understandable how this could have happened Harky :o, have experienced these jets while down at Oasis around the Penrith area, one of my boys at that time was 1 years of age and the holiday was partially ruined as every time one of these jets would fly over the tears would flow. Always amazed me how these jets were allowed to pass low over a populated holiday camp for families so makes you wonder do they give a dam about a liberation of pigeons.

Agree with you there Gareth the 3 kids all jumped on me at once , just think how the pigeons must have felt :) Im down there every year and see the jets but its the first time ive heard and seen f16s and the noise was unbeleivable
Guest bigda Posted September 28, 2009 Report Posted September 28, 2009 you want to be beside them when the test pilot fires them up, and the concrete flys of the wall like a sparkler, and the heat would fry your birds from them, you don't here a thing till the plane has passed, you then yer rib cage shakes and when they hit top speed there is a crack like sound and that alone must stun the birds harky goggle air display at ripon on the 22 Aug
