I know its only a proposal but it would suit a lot of fanciers that we have spoken to to have Andrezel&Ypres on same day(as last year) and bring Clremont back to the 10th July.Cuts down on a lot of road work and expense and gives you a chance to start educating your youngsters. On another note how many pigeons do you think you will need to complete this programme. :(

Andy, as this is only a recommendation  the dates etc can and will be shuffled at the AGM , no doubt. The reason for the 17th July being used was so you could double pigeons back from earlier races, giving them plenty of rest etc in between. I agree with you, it is another hard programme to complete and you do need a few birds about you :o But, this can all be changed at AGM if the members wish ;)

what is wrong in going to wanstead flats????

thats where  the lanarkshire, want to go to with the national  get the first of the drop   there  ;)  and are proposing  all races over the water  are 12 0"clock  libs  at the earliest  ;D  :D

just looked at the ware lib site on google earth in my opinion does not look suitable for a large liberation a lot of trees around car park has anybody from the snfc actually checked the lib site??

all races over the water should be 12o"clock liberations it has been proven to level the playing field and we seem to get good races i would vote for it everytime

sound like your a fair sports man duncan, do you think this is the  fairest way   i used to see, and hear of birds timed in  at  10  -13 hours on the wing  10 hours on the wing would get the birds in annan would they not :o sorry solway

hope for a night out then the tough get going

thought all lanarkshire liked  a night out ;)

seems the border lads dont get as good a result when the birds have had a night out plus the lanarkshire birds pulling together roll on a lanarkshire first open s.n.f.c

Do you not think doos should be given a chance to make it on the day.. they can clock as far up as the North section on the day, so why force a two day race..

Also i remember reading a loft report, think it might even be in roads to rome.. anyway the fancier said something along the lines of ''you wouldn't expect Linford Christie to beat Roger Black over 400m.. but if he raced him twice over 200m, who would you expect to win..??"

Is that not playing more in to the sprinters hands.. rather than true distance National racing..?? jmo

it does not seem to pan out that way the shortest flyers seem to get the worst result with a night out but if it is a early lib and a quick race the borders are totally dominant

Ware is about 330 miles to me, Eastbourne 402, both on east side

think  the national,  is thinking about the birdage,   and  going further  might not make a profit, maybe its a good thing after all,  there are  2 nationals  one for middle distance, and  one for extreme ;)

will there be any proposals this year by the national,l to go with the UNC  :o

why is this do you  think.      are there birds sprint  birds,

what distance would they be flying,  if short  why not have longer races, min distance from shorties flier 550 mile would that help  :)

i do not think there should be any inland races for national positions minimum distance 500mls max 650 i.e. 500..540..650...500 true national flying

Get to the AGM and say so ;)
