Sajfos Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 What does the "Joe murphy challenge" consist of ?
Delboy Posted November 7, 2009 Author Report Posted November 7, 2009 What does the "Joe murphy challenge" consist of ? A selected bunch of fanciers nominate a pigeon to compete in the SNFC Gold Cup race. Everything is published in the BHW how these pigeons are prepared etc in the lead up to the race. The first pigeon on the SNFC Gold cup result is the winner of the JOE MURPHY CHALLENGE.
Guest stb- Posted November 7, 2009 Report Posted November 7, 2009 probably one of the hardest competitions going, birds can have a lot of accidents before they even get there

Guest Gareth Rankin Posted November 8, 2009 Report Posted November 8, 2009 Well done BlueTooner (Stuart) on winning the sporting challenge, great pigeon in a very hard race. Congratulations must also go to Dennis Anderson on winning Fancier of the year this being based on the coefficient system. We should not forget the main guest for the evening Sid Collins INFC chairman who made a great job of presenting the trophies and he like the rest of us in the room was amazed at the detail and professionalism that Joe puts into this competition, top notch. Oh forgot to mention i had a great night apart for the fact that i was driving and i was sitting in the company of fanciers that have a drink problem ;). PS In memory of the late Matt Jaimeson a very special Trophy was purchased by a man who had the utmost respect for him and that is Dennis Anderson who should be thanked for his very kind gesture, this Trophy will be won by the Winner of the longest SNFC race this tophy was then presented to 2008 winner Stevie Ferguson and the 2009 winner Dave Pirie from Aberdeen.

Every person was introduced to the room which is a very nice and informative gesture by Joe and other than John Harwood who is a good friend of Delboys no person was introduced from the Glasgow fed which scoji claims to be from, Seems like scoji is another user with multiple accounts on this site, Why. Would add that at no time while in Delboys company did he make these claims cause Delboy knows the truth. :P ;D ;D ;D

Should correct part of my post, the winner of the Matt Jaimeson trophy will be for the winner of the South Section in the longest SNFC race and Dave Pirie was given the honour of presenting the trophy and not the winner. 8) 8)
