Guest Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 Put a nest grill in the corner, catches all the feathers, easy to clean then. But make sure the birds are locked in their boxes or the feathers go everywhere when they flap about as you remove the grill ;D

BLACK W F Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 YES I GOT ONE A REAL WINNER HEAT THE TEAPOT BEFORE YOU MAKE THE TEA HA HA HA
Guest Owen Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 The best tips I know are:- Do not let your pigeons control you, you must always remain in charge. Another; never have your birds sit on the house. Never loose your temper with any animal or bird. Never stare at birds or animals. Maintain a routine. Select your birds on their performances, not their looks. Test your birds in the basket before you breed from them. Teach them to come when called. Teach them to trap quickly. Never grab them. Enjoy their company. There are loads.
rick Posted September 29, 2009 Report Posted September 29, 2009 some good tips so far im going to try the feather one cheers.

Big2bees Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Feed only AFTER flying instead of feed before flying, otherwise they will have no reason to go inside the loft as soon as they go down.
Big2bees Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 Give only the amount of feeds your birds can consume each time. Avoid leftovers laying around. (Unless they're feeding youngsters) Refrain from using antibiotics as much as possible. Be considerate with neighbors who don't like pigeons on their roof
vanreets Posted October 12, 2009 Report Posted October 12, 2009 . you can tell your a old guy 20p kidds wont do anything for less than a 1 these days ;D ;D ;D less then a tenner ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
mcclaff Posted October 23, 2009 Report Posted October 23, 2009 feed birds b4 given water. They can have as much as they want but won't overeat. Remove leftover feed b4 putting drinker in. If you don't the birds will go back for more after they've had a drink. When breeding i use osteocare liquid in the drinkers - extra calcium, have eggs like pearls. Also baby feed(sma or similar) on feed with garlic oil. If it's good enough for babies then it's good enough for squeakers imo. Widowhood- sometimes i have a mirror about 6 x 4 inches that i put in the nestbox. Some cocks really do hate themselves
