i would like to swap eggs off one of my pairs to get more birds out of this pair she laid her second egg today when is the earliest i can take the eggs away and put them under another pair,

hi i always use a good pr to resit them under m8  & i like them to be on eggs at same time  , i d remove them 2/ 4 days    :)  

 

the others laid a day before mate so thats not a problem

take them away tomorrow then she should lay again in about 10 days.

 

thanks phil i thought a week but if you say tommorrow would be fine will do that

i allways leave them 6/7 days i have shifted the eggs right away but put cheenys under them and let them sit on

You've got to give the hen's vents time to close and for her system to return to normal. Wait 7 - 10 days before taking eggs away. You'd stress out the cock too asking him to go through all that driving routine again, just a few days after coming off that part of the cycle.

Give 'em a week. But then how do you know you're doing the right thing? My pigeon that flew Perth Pau and Palamos + a winner at Yelverton was bred from a stray!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D

 

Like a lot more that are not owned up to lol. ;)
