greenlands Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Sorry to here this John, there are some right tossers about these days,if they are caught there is no deterent, slapped wrists comes to mind.Someone must have known you were away for a couple of days. It's heart breaking loosing young in the nest but for this to happen, bang out of order. Sorry once again mate. Lindsay.
Guest Mav Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Hello John, I dont know you but i feel so sorry for you. I haven't got any birds yet and cannot imagine walking outside, on what feels like a normal day to find your door open and your birds gone. When i do get some i am going to make the dark of night like the light of day if anyone should enter the garden. So many of these robbery's happen at night because they have the cover of darkness, Would they come in during the day?. I dont know where you are from John, But if your anyway near me i will come over and help you light up your garden if you decide to carry on. Best wishes and good luck. Mav.
Guest lenwadebob Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 John, So sad to read this news.. DON'T GIVE UP, as you are giving in to them and allowing them to beat you. You are better than the low life scum that done this. Pick yourself up, dust yourself down, and start all over again, ITS YOUR LIFE MY FRIEND, and you will really miss them.

How sad i was when i looked at your post and like the few that have replied i would in someway like to help . Roughly where do you stay john ?My friend(bwf) and i are heading south from scotland in march and i am sure we would come and give some support in any way you require .What would your loft need to make it tighter in it's security .? How many youngsters would you need ? Their was a lovely offer by a kind man on this topic to help in light sensitive security .People do care . Think about it john, it will be a gesture of kindness and not a loan .It's up to you . I hope you dont mind me putting your name forward alan (bwf) you will have no problems with this i am sure . I know you as i do ,detest people with a passion who perpetrate such callous cowardly crimes . Keep well John DAVID

Guest bigda Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 would be best to advised all pigeon men to hammer nails into long strips of wood at 2" centers and place around lofts at night, then gather up during the day, hang them up till needed at night again, as most scallys wear training shoes it will be a nice surprise for them ??)
Guest Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 sad news John , i hope you re-consider. andy.

Guest Owen Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 John, send me a pm with your name and address and I will rear you something really good. I know you will feel bad right now but you can not let these mugs beat you. I live near Pontypool in South Wales and I will do what I can to help. My name sake, Owen, has the right idea. You must lock up and you should use one of those heat sensitive lights. Or you can do as I have done, have the sensors fixed up so that you have a warning in the house and no visible sign outside. That way, I can appear behind them with my baseball bat before they know it. And a decent dog would be good. my sincere condolances Owen
DOVEScot Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 Sorry to hear about your loss, it seems like it is becoming common place now that more and more birds are being stolen and more and more lofts are being burned down and not only poor defenceless birds are losing their life's but people are being devastated by such scumbags. It seems that if you speak out about these scumbags you threatened by so called fellow fanciers, it makes me sick
DOVEScot Posted January 29, 2010 Report Posted January 29, 2010 would be best to advised all pigeon men to hammer nails into long strips of wood at 2" centers and place around lofts at night, then gather up during the day, hang them up till needed at night again, as most scallys wear training shoes it will be a nice surprise for them ??) You have to make things like this look natural as possible, if you lay a trap and an intruder damages himself on it you could end up being sued, unless you post adequate signs to warn them of your deterrents DOHHH!!!!
