Sorry to say this but after all the effort put into this by Gary and myself. I THINK THIS IS A JOKE. The site goes down AGAIN and draws this sale to an unsatisfactory conclusion. I AM WELL P!SSED OFF and that is an understatement.

 

I wont dwell on what has happened, any further, but like Gary, I would just like to say a massive THANK YOU to all the fanciers and members who gave and purchased birds for this worthy cause, WELL DONE TO YOU ALL. - BOB

What worries me is there are more big sales coming up and is this going to happen again!

I couldn't get on the site at all after 8.45 so any more bidding was out of the question, still couldn't get on at midnight!

It will if the site doesn't change it's server to meet the demands of a few hundred members being active at a given time. I hope a lesson is learned by this or there will be more failures in the future that's for certain

well done to gary and bob,you did a fantastic job.in what was at the end a very sad conclusion the this sale.as im sure more money would have been generated

Very well donr to Blaz and Bob, I speak to Bob on a regular basis, and i know how much time and effort he has put to this project. His wife must think he has a cyber bird on the go, as when he does nip out on the odd occasion, he runs to his computer like  little kid when he gets home, thats how dedicated he was. And i know he put 110% effort into it. As im sure blaz did too :-) Bet ur eyes are square now Bob. Think you should be general manager if the job comes up? As i know you would work very hard for the interests of the sport  Your a Credit to the sport mate, And im am honoured to call you my friend

I know that admin are currently working on the possibility of another server, I think we are victims of our own success, the site is definately growing fast, which is great, but we have to move on and improve as we go, this all takes time folks, Patience JMO

Thanks for those kind words Pete. I have to say that I am a great believer in the old saying "IF A JOB IS WORTH DOING, IT IS WORTH DOING PROPERLY", and I can say without fear of contradiction that I have always strived to do this all my life.

Yes Pete  "Sponge Bob Square Eyes" but I also have ringing ears from the wife who though I had disowned her over the past 5 days or so.  ;D But she knows pigeons are my life and a passion, that I have had all my life, and she would never come in the way of that, because she knows that by my very nature, I don't do anything for self gain or praise, but for the benefit of others. I have to say I was close to tears last night through frustration, because I felt I had let you all down :-/

So that said, I would like to, once again, thank King Billy for suggesting it, Blaz for all his effort, but most of all, those fanciers who donated birds and also to all you generous members who dug deep into your pockets for the benefit of our lads and lasses in the armed forces. A BIG THANK YOU.

im tamping i couldnt get on the site from 20.55 till know the lot i thought i had in the bag doesnt look like i did something has to be done with the site as you cant have it crashing in the middle of a sale

poor end till a great sale.

Maybe lots 1 to 10 should have been auctioned off between 8 til 8.30 and lots 11 to 20 between 8.30 till 9

and so on??????
