question for all fanciers without their lofts at their back door,what is the distance from your house to your loft and does it cause any problems.

mines an mile away and i dont drive does my head in some times

Mines about 3mls in a compound. Look out my house window onlt about 1/2ml but have to go around and over the bridge to get to the loft. All water has to be taken to loft aswell.

nearest loft is 20ish ft away...

 

but i have a very high back house roof.

Hi Patty, My loft is about two miles fron the house and to be honest I find it much better for a number of reasons. It stops me getting lazy knowing I have to tend to the birds, there is no mess in the garden, no complaints from neighbours and best of all gives me a place to get away from the wife lol.

my lofts are aprox 7 mtrs from the back door they used to be out in the wilds but it was hopeless got hit with percy and sparrow /hawks every day so great behind the hoose

and neibours no probs

mine was 6 miles away at one time.

my lofts are over a hundred meters from the house,thay have electricity to them,but no water,thats the only inconvnience

Mine are approx 60ft away from the house.

 

Have the highest regard for you all that trek over to allotments or elsewhere to keep the birds - I know i wouldnt do it myself as my pleasure is sitting in my garden in the summer with the birds out flying or in  the bath  

 

lucky you ours bout mile away but water n electric om site so no sa bad

mines about 3 min walk from the house no water but no

problems with neighbours . the wife have never been down
