ally mac Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 I'm using hemp core just now and it seems to be fine, does stick to the shoes a wee bit but not too bad.
tommy.walsh Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 i have sand on the floor and i ting ts get for the birds they love picking all the small shells out off eh
blackdog Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 Natural floor granules for me as well
tommy.walsh Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 the sand also keeps the floor dry and its not messy

Guest bakes Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 but do agree about a good solid plywood floor good to keep an eye on there droppings see if everythink is ticking over all good all the best.
dwh Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 agree noticed this year droppings are perfect only thing we done different is wormed and cankered them after racing
Guest Owen Posted November 12, 2009 Report Posted November 12, 2009 I use loft granuals and horse litter, Oubiose. My problem is that I am always in trouble up at the house because of the mess on my boots. Most of the time I wash them under a tap, but I forget sometimes. My wife can get very nasty about the mess. I like it later on when I go back to cleaning the cocks twice every day. Although the stock birds are always on the deep litter.
