use to use straw went everywere then went to hemp core found it stuck to the birds feet so now on easy bed very good stuff its like fin wood chips smells nice as well like lavender

oil absorbent granules get them from work for free thats whats down in the stock loft use to have them in the other lofts but now im home all day i scrape the floor now then dry with a burner

Stock loft floor hasnae been cleaned oot fae january and is as dry as a bone ;) All the other lofts huvnae been cleaned oot for a month as i broke my right hand so cannae scrape and to tell you the truth the birds still look great ;)

but do agree about a good solid plywood floor good to keep an eye on there droppings see if everythink is ticking over all good

I use loft granuals and horse litter, Oubiose. My problem is that I am always in trouble up at the house because of the mess on my boots. Most of the time I wash them under a tap, but I forget sometimes. My wife can get very nasty about the mess.

I like it later on when I go back to cleaning the cocks twice every day.

Although the stock birds are always on the deep litter.
