Delboy Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 It doesnt mater what has happend in the past regarding waiting outside airdrie and hamilton in they days the snfc had a much larger membership and by the way i cant remember waiting HOURS to get the pigeons away. This is 2009 and the snfc has a much reduced membership so they should hire a hall suitable for its members and the pigeons .by the way idont think it would be much pleasure having a blether soaked to the skin also the doos soaking. The bottom line is uddingstone is far to small. yip, I agree, as you will see with my post
Delboy Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Hey mate theres plenty fanciers looking forward to this race but its up to the SNFC to provide its members with proper facilities for race marking at newbury the fanciers were standing in the carpark with vans and cars parked on grass verges all over the place uddingstone is a club hut ok for the club members but not for central marking plus the snfc.ITs just to small for this purpose and as i said earlier itsno fun standing in the rain no matter who ur having a blether with. Yes, thats right. There is always the option of going to Newmains to mark your birds, seemingly they didnt have alot of birds at Newbury
Guest bigda Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Yes, thats right. There is always the option of going to Newmains to mark your birds, seemingly they didnt have alot of birds at Newbury yes that's :Xa sensible option delboy, or go early, or go late ;D ;D
jimbhoy29 Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 whats the forecast for the wkend. its not to be good in ayrshire rain all day west wind
ALF Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 Alf, the marking went smoothly at Newbury. Granted, it took a while but thats because of the size of the hall.I stated to the SNFC officials 3 years ago, that the premises were too small for inland races but they overruled me and kept it. I am running the station and I am responsible for security and we all know that this has been slightly lax in the past few years. I will not have 100 men and their doos squeezed into that tiny hall, this is when the security could be breached. Another thing Alf, you must be new to this game because as for it raining and folk outside, well this has happened at every marking station we have ever had. They queued up Airdrie Main street, they queued outside Hamilton town hall. You had to wait hours to get your birds away . It was a time to get a blether with other doomen BUT NOW ALL YOU WANT IS TO GET YOUR BIRDS AWAY AND GET TO THE PUB AS QUICK AS POSSIBLE TO HAVE A MOAN AT THIS AND THAT. If you cant help us , dont hinder us. Why not get off yer *expletive removed* and get down there and give us a hand. Plenty of us have to work and have children at school who need picked up and watched till later on when our wifes finish work so we cant all be there at the beginning of marking but we knew there would be plenty of doos coming from our fed so maybe an extra marking station over in the west of the fed would have helped as it seemed most of the west section were at Uddingston at the same time..as for getting off my *expletive removed* and giving you a hand it was that busy i never got in the club hut for well over 2 hrs and most of us were wanting home to get fed not go to the pub!!!
ALF Posted June 16, 2009 Report Posted June 16, 2009 best of luck to all who send to snfc Same to you Jock good luck mate And good luck to everyone who sends to Eastbourne
