nagid Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 well said jocky thats where we should be west is best
Guest pigeonboyno1 Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 To be honest i think the pigeons have hit bad weather at the hills and at 4:30 5 you could see the sun with the clouds i think it could have been low cloud aswell but i could be wrong.
jocky Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 no nothing to do with the jump, although maybe not correct. :-/ i dont think the jump had much to do with it like a few other feds no answers''''
alec guinness Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 well said jocky thats where we should be west is best as i have said on a few previous threads racing youngsters west is not the answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
wullie semple Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 so it was hawks today then?????? you tell me
jimmywylie Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 dont think you can blame controller today. do you think a jump from hexham into wetherby is too much for young birds dont think the jump was the problem.weather was fine, percy might have a say,but lack of communication with other feds ,i think was the main problem9(.i.e lib times.)
ALF Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I know a lot of our fed members are sending a lot of pm's on here tonight so why are'nt they posting there answers on the site??????? i know a lot of members are'nt happy but why hide it??? If your are'nt happy tell everyone on here and dont hide it :X :X : : : : : : :
Guest bigda Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 i was at ripon up at 8.00 timed at 10 past 1 and 1 out of 8 thats the way i see it, there where 4 feds at ripon and if they libed in the 8-9 am against the wind and the lanarshire at 8-45 with the wind the clash is possible add to that the rest of the south feds heading down would be in the mix scary stuff and would expect Percy to be alarmed at the size of the feast :o
Guest pigeonboyno1 Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 I had a look on the map of where weatherby is and it is surround by places like leeds there could be transporters sitting near weatherby and they have all collided and the pigeons could of went anywhere http://uk.autold.com/
Guest Gareth Rankin Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 SO HOW MANY PEOPLE THINK BUDGIE IS DOING A GREAT JOB NOW????? I think Budgie has done a great job this season but as people have quoted on here already that once you go down past Newcastle area it becomes the twilight zone, this mainly because of clashing. You can do a few things to rectify this 1. Once the fed gets to 100 miles approx Newcastle area race pigeons on a Wedensday or Thursday. 2.Or once at 100 mile stage revert back to the west route were there is no clashing. 3. Or act like cowards and run away from having races past 100 miles. Worth noting that even in the old birds from Wakefield and Newark which were perfect racing days that they also got sticky races even in tail winds. I'm sure Andy is hurting more than anyone else at this minute in time because it is nothing more than a burden being a race controller so perhaps For Andy (Budgie's) own sake i would like to see an enquiry held by the federation as we have to get an answer at what happened today and and change what is needing changed for the future whether that be east/west or racing midweek after 100 miles.
nagid Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 as i have said on a few previous threads racing youngsters west is not the answer!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ok what is the answer

Chris Little Posted August 22, 2009 Report Posted August 22, 2009 Here's a thought....... race on a Sunday, you will virtually take out the element of clashing. Did anyone notice the article / map in this weeks BHW of races that were held last Saturday
