aye ready Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 maybe oldyellow can help, what is the base of this strain and their capabilities mines are via mr and mrs corkett who obtained the best from from porter and richardson, breeding y/bs for 2009
OLDYELLOW Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 i believe from what i was told by the guy i got 2 fed winners from that they are kellens based and Van den Boshe ( EXCUSE SPELLING ) , THEY CAN WIN UP TO 500 + miles see Dicky Dark his cock was 4th U.N.C Bourge , another is Marsay and Taylor of Great Ayton they topped the U.N.C from Bourge with a blue hen , George Dawes down in the black country had very good wildermesch
THE FIFER Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 I have a few Porter and Richardson, bought one at hisclosing down sale at blackpool, thats where my original pair came from,
OLDYELLOW Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 if i was after this family i would also consider Kellens and Maurice Matheuews , i tried to get some off Ken Briggs of Smethwick many years ago unsucessfully i may add
Guest Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 Matthews got his pigeons from Frans Van Wildemeersch. I beleive that the Wildemeersch, just like the Busschaerts, Nachtegaeles, De Baere's, and a few other families that escape me at the time being, they contain the bloodlines of Theo Gilbert of Zulte. Could be wrong!
aye ready Posted February 15, 2009 Author Report Posted February 15, 2009 thanks for the replies my own are predominately dark ones if this is any help
Guest Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 I have a lot of Dark un's aswell, Dark Pieds, Chequer's, Chequer Pieds, and Blue Pieds. Have some of the Corkett birds here aswell, they are freinds of my brother, and we have scored with them quite a bit, including on the UNC result. Good reliable birds, as long as you are doing your bit then you should get something out of them. Good luck, let us know how you get on won't you?
OLDYELLOW Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 i cant find any English articles hows your flemish ? ;D ;D ;D ;D

aye ready Posted February 15, 2009 Author Report Posted February 15, 2009 how are they doing for u fifer?
jimmy white Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 think jim smith was one of the first to win well with the wildies, way back ,, but the base birds were the beer and orleanski,, bliksem etc,, [beer and orleanski bought by bertie fletcher] but there have been many who flew these birds well,, charlie wooff [wooff bros and son new ollerton ] have stayed at the top for over 30 years with these birds , his base pigeons were" clive 76"" the 31" these were phenominal racing pigeons , their progeny is still winning well to-day, both, for charlie, and many others
eastcoaster Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 We have just introduced them from A Cousins in ireland from all Bertie Fletcher`s top birds and are all blues, but there is Kellens am sure in the pedigree,
Guest stevie-b Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 ian parsons has them check u r year books
b.massey Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 Bertie Fletcher is a well known Wildermeesch man. My father used to have the Ian Parsons too. Very good birds they were. Two brothers won a lot of money and fed cards for him
jimmy white Posted February 15, 2009 Report Posted February 15, 2009 We have just introduced them from A Cousins in ireland from all Bertie Fletcher`s top birds and are all blues, but there is Kellens am sure in the pedigree, yes your right east coaster,, but going way back on frans van widermeersch pigeons [a school teacher, i beleive] they. like many breeds , are made up of many lines , and like many top breeders/fliers, frans. selectivly bred these , then produced the champions
meadowlofts Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 to right jimmy i have frans ,s sales list from 1978 ,coppenolle ,desmet mathys, cattrysse, vav der espt, haelterman, janssen ,the list goes on i believe brian hynes once wrote that it was debatable what really was the base strain of these birds as for ian parsons wildys these are very close to the originals fantastic birds would recomend them to anyone {except round were i live ] bought 2 hens from him in o4 and they have bred winners every year
Guest j.bamling Posted February 27, 2009 Report Posted February 27, 2009 I would say one of the first to have this family would be W Grinsel Birmingham Our family of Wildes are from Porter & richardson via Alf Rothwell & Wooff bros stock & win well to 500 miles

Guest Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 We have just introduced them from A Cousins in ireland from all Bertie Fletcher`s top birds and are all blues, but there is Kellens am sure in the pedigree, Some of the best available there mate.
Novice Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 I believe Walters and Broadhurst also raced these birds and I think Corketts als had some of these bloodlines. W&B originated from Pelsall I think. I have topped the Fed. from 500 miles with a Porter and Richardson bird on a hard day but that was an exceptional pigeon.
THE FIFER Posted February 28, 2009 Report Posted February 28, 2009 MY stock of Wildemeersch was got from Porter & Richardson
Guest Posted March 1, 2009 Report Posted March 1, 2009 Lets not forget Mr Mrs Dutton, best waste of money i ever did do!!
Shortcut Lofts Posted March 2, 2009 Report Posted March 2, 2009 There is for sure definatley Kellens in them, certainly the Fletcher Wildermeerch as i was once told this by Bertie himself many years ago.
