Guest IB Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 Agree with Jimmy, the weather was the cause of most of the bother on Saturday. No matter when you went from Otterburn, early morning or late morning, you got hammered. As far as I know, only Scottish feds fly Otterburn, the English feds fly Alnwick and Berwick, and there were races from these points on Saturday 26th, though what the lib times were I don't know.
frank-123 Posted April 28, 2008 Report Posted April 28, 2008 kelso 26apr 2008 libs by craig thompson(tompadel) on Mon Apr 28, 2008 5:33 pm Were your birds racing from kelso on saturday? I watched a liberation at 07.30 into full cloud cover, conditions i wouldnt even train in never mind race in.The birds were totally disorientated and hundreds were still flying around kelso 1 hour later.I was at the other side of town when they were liberated i didnt go to the site because i didnt think they would be up,but i thought i saw another liberation at around 07.55 when there were batches still going around....i drove past the lib site at around 11.00 and there was a small transporter still there so did one have the sense to holdover?? Wish i had my phone with me cos i would of took photo.....hope you got your birds back i suppose some would of done the time expected but alot would be really late and you know what??? it wasnt their fault... i took this from pigeonchat i reckon there were a few scottish feds at kelso
