Guest Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 No you said you're glad you hadn't tried the other methods because you wouldn't have been so successful. My point was you'll never know that unless you try it........... You don't need to!! You're a leader.
REDCHEQHEN Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 We're not on the same wavelength Albear or like I said earlier I think I'm from a different planet (kewl)
rembrant2coo Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 We're not on the same wavelength Albear or like I said earlier otherwards albear she put her stall out and followed the route, she felt was the right thing to do probably being advised what to do or not to do ,and picking little tips and a lot of thing she never knew to do or follow so she made herself a leader of her ways of doing these thing and it has paid of for her this year, and her husband lets her get on with the job oflooking after the pigeons as he is at work
Roland Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Quite simply if REDCHEQHEN ahdn't done as she did, who is to say that she was right? Surely there ia a possibilty that there would be fewer birds, but of a higher standard and more , and better results. This is what the good lady will never know. So drawing on expierence now eans that that has been proven to a certain level. If done different it wouls almost certainly have been a different result. Now whether poorer od better one will never know. Maybe another person now, with improvement in mind, may well split the birds into two groups - or more - and do something different. 2 -3 years down the line one would have the results of JUST them 2 -3 different aspects, and may want to change try another idea and split them ...
rembrant2coo Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 I dont thinkyou guys understand rchen, this is the first year she has flown her birds over the channel (she will correct me if i,m wrong ) she has done something that has favoured her , if I was her i would be in a position to stay on the same system as she was doing she likes to see her babies coming home and loves it when they are winning , and beingin a part time jobhas worked in to the system as well good luck susan to you and ged all my best andwill see you at blackpool
Roland Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Now why is she having sucess, or could it be improved is all we are saying. It could well be, as far as I'm concerned because she instills a 'Love of Home' and 'Contentment! I am more interest in realising what the 'Main' reason is than any conjecture or theories. The summise of 'What If' is and should always be there. And sure one must also take into account 'Why'! Often, I believe, our birds prevail and shine in spite of our endeavours that do them no good whatsoever. Yes of course I am happy for Susan, and wish her every sucess etc. That goes without saying. Be nice to know why Susan believes her system works well, as well as why she believes other wouldn't. So no one ned to imply that anyone is knocking it ... just asking a realism of 'Why' and as I often spout, there is only one answer to Why... and that is because. Many, I believe, often don't relay to the answer of why, which is like a shot in the dark I guess.
Guest Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Redcheq, don't think we're on a different wavelength at all. You are saying you succeeded because the way you did it, no probs with that. But you are also saying if you had done the other way you would have not done as well, now there's no logic to that because until you try other ways you wouldn't know Harry reckons you are a good listener, I assume he has been a mentor to you and obviously you have done very well and I congratulate you and in no way knock you for that. However what you are saying above is very blinkered. I would never condemn something I had not experienced. All great leaders mke mistakes the reason being that they try different ways and learn from the different ways not from one way only, it's the only way to improve. I'm on your wave length I thought you werebeing arrogant in dismissing other methods having not tried them. By the way prefer the vagina chronilogues to women are martians

Guest Paulo Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 if they haven't won nowt when they turn three they are out.
ohiogsp Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 Don't any of you have longer race for yb's? I fly mine out to 340 miles here (I am on the long end). I got 6th and 8th club this year at our 340 and my 6th bird flew 1150ypm with a slight head wind. He did really well. Some young birds can do the longer races and do a fine job of it. The birds I did good with were both flown to 5-6 races before this one including 280 and 240 miles. I would not hesitate to send these birds to 500's as yearlings. I might even send them to a 600.
bird man of meath Posted November 25, 2008 Report Posted November 25, 2008 hi new to this. is one family best for this long dis.
Guest LBuddle Posted November 26, 2008 Report Posted November 26, 2008 I think maybe get birds out of good longdistance birds (any familys) say 3 hens 3 cocks and put the offspring on the road and then build your own family not adding to many new introductions, only introduce when you feel it is needed. Just my thoughts though. Lee.
