blaz Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 WHAT IS THE BEST CLUB IN YOUR FED .CLUB THAT HAS WON MOST FED TROPHY,S, IF NO FED TROPHYS THE MOST FED WINS, IF YOU KNOW HOW MANY MEMBERS,
blackdog Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 hi blaz, i would have to say the club i am in, flimby h.s, most fed wins this season must be about 10, also winning the federations big cup awarded to the member with the best average all fed races. we have 13 flying members CLUB POINTS Flimby HS 1280 Harr Central 719 Victoria 584 Ellenborough 497 Netherton 480 Flimby WC 327 Workington Social 158 Seaton RBL 133 Silloth FC 129 Maryport 88 Dearham 85 clifton 69 Broughton Moor 31 Seaton FC 0 OLD BIRD INLAND MEMBERS POINTS 2009 NAME CLUB TOTAL POINTS 1 E Pape Flimby HS 203 2 K Graham & Daughters Flimby HS 199 3 J Whitehead Ellenborough 171 4 M Ward & Sons Netherton 148 5 Tinnion Bros & Aitken Flimby HS 138 6 Sleightholme & Broatch Harr Central 135 7 K Rafferty Netherton 133 8 Telford & Pooley Harr Central 122 9 Ken Harper Victoria 118 10 J Devlin Harr Central 118 OLD BIRD CHANNEL MEMBERS POINTS 2009 NAME CLUB TOTAL POINTS 1 E Hodgson & Son Flimby HS 194 2 J Whitehead Ellenborough 140 3 J & D Hine Flimby WC 124 4 Nelson & Crellin Flimby HS 92 5 J Devlin Harr Central 83 6 Mr & Mrs Wood Harr Central 81 7 Harker & Berwick Dearham 79 8 N & G Wordsworth Harr Central 77 9 Ken Harper Victoria 76 10 M Ward & Son Netherton 75 OLD BIRD COMBINED MEMBERS POINTS 2009 NAME CLUB TOTAL POINTS 1 E Hodgson & Son Flimby HS 276 2 J Whitehead Ellenborough 248 3 M Ward & Sons Netherton 223 4 K Graham & Daughters Flimby HS 214 5 E Pape Flimby HS 203 6 Ken Harper Victoria 175 7 Tinnion Bros & Aitken Flimby HS 165 8 Sleightholme & Broatch Harr Central 153 9 J & D Hine & G Son Flimby WC 153 10 Nelson & Crellin Flimby HS 136
Guest valiant Posted October 7, 2009 Report Posted October 7, 2009 wrong the best club this year in midlothian federation would be the Edinburgh Premier toped the fed more times than any other club this year.
Guest Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Surely, in my eyes the best club in a fed is the most consistent one, not the one with most wins. For example 9 clubs and 9 Fed races on a point system of 9 points for 1st down to 1 point for 9th place. Club A has 3 wins and 6 x 9th place = Total points 33 Club B (The Bridesmaid Club) has 7 x 2nd places and 2 x 3rd place = Total points 70 Therefore most wins does not necessarily mean the BEST club Best Club in the Norfolk North Road Championship and the most consistent, is without doubt, over the past few years the Mile Cross Club Norwich, but that said they have the biggest membership and regularly send the largest amount of birds. Most consistent members are Mr & Mrs O King and Sons
pigeon pete57 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 we fly in two clubs sunningdale in the berkshire fed and windsor club in the bbo fed both clubs are very hard to beat
Guest strapper Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 i think there can be better clubs not winning more then they should because of wind assisted wins. if the wind is against you ur knackered. our club has won the fed 3 times this year when the wind changed to our favour....but more or less we are knackered each year..being one of the most if not the most northernist club...closest club being in the next valley over the mountain. there is always a golden mile club in each fed...either your lucky with the wind or your not...results do happen because of this..but you still have to be a decent fancier to get them. this is why you see some fanciers move(house) to a better loft position in feds..its a fact.
greenlands Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I'll go along with that Strapper, measurements also go a long way to winning races. As you can see I fly in Dearham ,in the club three of our members get 3 mile off the so called cream clubs, the same lads get 7.5ml off me off a breaking point, which is a true measurement.I fly off a level measurement with most of the cream but my birds have to fly a further 3 ml.How can we fly a good pigeon in the fed ?? Lindsay C.
No 1 Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 Would strongly have to disagree Bob, the strongest club in East Anglia is Costessey Flying Club, you pick any three races (Dates) from the last 3 years, Costessey will have atleast 10 birds in the first twenty.
Guest mick bowler Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 we fly in two clubs sunningdale in the berkshire fed and windsor club in the bbo fed both clubs are very hard to beat Pete there are better clubs in the BB&O fed than these two, they just happen to be in the best position in the fed! I know some will say position makes no odds, but it does when a feed has members from 5 or 6 counties! Still some very good members in the two clubs you mention, but fed wise think there are better clubs considering their position.
Guest Blaydon Racer Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 I fly in Tyne and Derwent Fed--there are 5 clubs in the fed There is a points system in place wher each week the first bird from each club is awarded points --the first one gets 5 ponts down to one for the fifth placed club--regardless whether they get onto the fed result or not This year the fed ponts trophy went to Winlaton HS
blaz Posted October 8, 2009 Author Report Posted October 8, 2009 wrong the best club this year in midlothian federation would be the Edinburgh Premier toped the fed more times than any other club this year. I but we won the trophies

blaz Posted October 8, 2009 Author Report Posted October 8, 2009 i will add the premier is not called the premier for nothing and is a very hard club to win in some of their members results this season are outstanding.
robbiedoo. Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 in the north of scotland fed there is 155 members and the best club this year in the fed imo is fraserburgh west end winning 8 fed trophies also topping the fed from 2 out of the 3 longest races.
blaz Posted October 8, 2009 Author Report Posted October 8, 2009 longest yb race open won by J. andy Posted October 8, 2009 Report Posted October 8, 2009 In my Opinion there is only one weekly racing pigeon club in Scotland. THE NEW LOTHIAN R.P.C. Where else can you fly against 80 odd members most weeks and prize and pool money of £1000 to £1500 every race.
Guest valiant Posted October 9, 2009 Report Posted October 9, 2009 eastbourne open longest race in midlothian fed 1st fed by over 40 mins 5 club birds in top 20 2nd longest race newbury1st fed 3 club birds in top 10 that was good flying for you and Rab Halley got some yb from Rab this year and they done well for me.

Guest bigda Posted October 10, 2009 Report Posted October 10, 2009 the best club must be dalzeil in the lanarkshire, always on the :X looking out to better the fed, don't like wasting money in opens, and are very careful in there section, they are always trying and point the fed in the right direction, west manly, and have being doing so for ??)a number of years now, and when you ask them, they say, they don't want ??) any of the credit cheers "dalzeil" 8)
