cant help it if north doos just like to get on with it  when its tough the tough get going quality always tells no flukes at that distance

yes they are los of bop there. but u still got 2 get on with it. the bop are every where not just in the west and no im not a member rspb and never will be.

 

I DONT DISPUTE THAT THERE ARE NOT BOP EVERYWHERE,   its just when you get a strike in the valleys its leaves the birds very little oppton as to where to run as they are heemed in there and the peregrine heards them into hills to strike,

 

when there on the coast they can get away far more easier by having somewhere to go.

 

This is my experiance with the many strikes that i have had over the years.  

 

yes you just have to get on with it when there racing from the nats ,  but you can try to preserve your birds so that they get that far

why the unc , :-/ why not try one of the west combines  and see what happens when there not on the coast , then all have to contend with b o p in the hills .

THE NATIONAL NEEDS ALSORTS BUT THEY ALSO NEED TO GIVE EVERY AREA A CHANCE IF POSSIBLE TO TIME ON DAY 500MILERS BEING TIMED THEN THE 600+MILERS BEING ALLOWED TO DO THE SAME IE SOUTH WIND LIGHT GIVE THEM A CHANCE TO HOME BEFORE DARK IF POSSIBLE ONCE AGAIN REST OUR CASE O HAPPY DAYS ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

sorry alan but is it not straight up the coast from the  u n c   why not give the west a try m8

 

then were all cutting accross country  through the hills , i think you will get the same exsperiance  in the hills i would think , yes bop everywhere but on coast at least they have somewhere to run  in the hills you would just be the same as everyone else .  That why most here train on the east coast because when we get a strike we get most of the birds back safly and in reasonable time , not so when we train south a in the hills ,you dont see them for days somtimes :-/

i am on the west side of my fed mate dont try and tell me about bop it was that bad when i let them out i lost 2 each day  they are all where but more so up here thats fact  and i flew down the west route  but all in favour of all combines amals nat going up  together

and not bothered what race points either  make it as fair as possable  and as early as possable or a lunchtime lib  let them all have a chance to make it on the day or all night out  thats fair to all

drag in the longest race with the nat 2009 we went up with the unc  and the west section were. 4th.5th.6th.10th.16th.23rd, open. so they had no problem breaking then.

 

also the south section were 3/13/15/18/19/21/24 open. so the two sections  on the west side of scotland had no problem breaking from the drag of the east coast with the unc. so much for bop and the drag.

Shows the calibre of doos and doomen in west doesnt it.Saying that, there are top doomen every section. The only chance we got in winning national is at the longest race and in fact, Ian McGhie , Newmains, was last to win channel race and that was from Nantes ( and a disaster ). Do your homework and you will find out how good certain fliers really are. Mind you, where you are,  a crisp packet could make it home :P ;D ;D

so many birds on result,   i dont think the thread is about slagging anyones birds of

 

east west south or north sect as its has transpired into.

 

or the amount of birds that go i would say the west get a good turn, although maybe not winning it,   but racing as we knew it here has now changed.

I MYSELF DONT PARTICULARLY LIKE TRAINING FROM THE NE OR EAST  but in the present climate its the safest option .

 

Think if more went it would make a massive difference to results , but so many  are disolusioned with it at the moment thats not going to happen :-/

well walter when i train on the coast and the birds are unfortunate to get struck they often headout into the north sea ,but they do make home again,  not so when i train south in the hills .  Fact

think you need a show of hands for west  route flying ,  cant see  you have a problem with it as the boys from the east say, they will fly any  route , going to Nantes might interests  me

why don't the 2 nationals join together for there  inland races  6 0f them    then  go with the unc for  the  six races  across the  water,  that way  at yer agms,  you would only have the  one agenda,  distance racing,    tay yer  hearts content  no need to  depend on the lanarkshire  and such  like feds  then the lanarkshire would  take all the rest of the sound in mind   sprinting   out  to  380 -  400 mile we allready have the sections  ;D ;D ;D

bop is a major  problm 4 evrybody not just u lads they up and down the mainland try them circling your loft taking ybs off the front my mates neighbour had 1go thru the door its all the same granted   your're more than liklely to meet them them enroute up your neck of the woods be we got them circling the loft race day

on the best and fairest  race  point yes brest  would be a ideal  race piont then Nantes  and all coastal  point would keep yer birds away from the shotguns  they use in france

as they tend to shoot at every thing its all fair game to them
