DOVEScot Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 great gadget in home base ,, £4 odds rentokill make it ,, its a plastic box with an in and an out [poison inside it ] lasts for ages , no way can pigeons or pets get at it ANY KIND OF POISON CAN GET PASSED TO YOUR PIGEONS IF THE MICE CAN BE ALLOWED OUT THE TRAP. BECAUSE IT CAN BE ON THEIR FEET AND TRAILED OUT
Guest Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 I use these type of enclosed bait traps too. Never thought of the risk to pigeons, DoveScot, and reckon you are right there, but the greater risks are (1) what the mice themselves carry / spoil and (2) pigeons getting access to the bait / spoiled grain. Previously had open bait type in places the birds couldn't access, but was always a bit wary that I'd leave a door open or something. At least the enclosed type do give a certain peace of mind in that respect.
Tic eye Hen Posted November 10, 2007 Report Posted November 10, 2007 Thanks Jimmy sounds great to me!! Mice proof loft? As if.... Must be no vents or open doors or sputniks then, therefore no fresh air!
