Peckedhen Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 A calcium tablet down its throat - or, at a push an indigestion tablet as they contain calcium. Olive oil down the throat will do instead of cod liver oil if you don't have the CLO.

Guest Owen Posted March 26, 2009 Report Posted March 26, 2009 If you have a hen that is egg bound you have usually got lower level problems in the others. Your birds need calcium and magnesium urgently. You can get it in liquid form from the Chemist or from Doland and ------- the herbal people. The advice you have been given about the steam and the CLO is good. But your bird needs liquid calcium. And fast. Do not be tempted to break the egg. That will kill the pigeon. Get to the Chemist my friend. Fast.
