Guest youngboy Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 well everyone! im coming into my second year of racing pigeons and my pigeons have watery droppings http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/blahdocs/Smilies/blush.pngi tried with live yogurt, and no trying with electrolytes! if that doesnt work what shall i do? because i would love for my birds to be paired up a the end of 1st month of 2010
pigeonpete Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Sorry you have problems, Best thing to do is get them tested. Watery dropping can be the cause of almost every ailment. The only way to get them sorted is get them tested. 3 great people on here for this would be strapper, owen, and holmside lofts, if you pm 1 of those they will be a great help to you :-) O f course there are others who will help you.
ritchie1 Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 bicarbonete of soda in the water for 7 days mate and that will sort your dropping out no probs no expence

pigeonpete Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 Pigeonpete, Your correct in what you say, we all try to help, but if I was stuck those are the three lads I would pm for an opinion, not offending anyone else though. Lindsay Thanks, yes would not dream of intending to offend anyone, Just 3 top guys off the top of my head who have helped me :-) I could give him 20 names, but that wont help the lad
pigeonpete Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 No offence ritchie or walter, but if he has a bigger problem like i have then no ammount of bicarbonate of soda will work, So best to get tested, treated, And try to prevent the problem next time, Not saying bicarb of soda wont clear it up, Just think he needs to know what his problem is. All the best :-)
Guest youngboy Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 i sent strapper a pm! sound out again

walterbmasson Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 pigeonpete you wont offend me at our fed agm there was 3 members came to me and said by god that bicarbonate really works and these are old hands at the pigeons all i say see wattery droppings give bicarbonate at first signs within 2 days you will see a difference in droppings ive been doing it for nearly 20years and always if ive treated for canker before hand this has been posted before and i know for a fact other fanciers has got benifits from it and i know this is the first they will try first sign of wattery droppings most of the times it could be cleared before testing but as i said in previous posts this works most of the time happy with results ive found with this remedy RITCHIE1 MUST HAVE TRIED IT WITH SUCCESS BUT ITS UP TO EACH FANCIER WHAT TO DO FOR THERE BIRDS IF THEY DONT WANT TO GIVE THEM BICARBONATE SODA A HARMLESS SUBSTANCE GO TO THE VETS EVERY SIGN OF WATTERY DROPPINGS THEY WONT BE IN PIGEONS LONG CHEERS
walterbmasson Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 BLUE TOONER WOULD YOU HAVE A JOB TESTING WATTERY DROPPINGS
Guest strapper Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 pigeonpete you wont offend me at our fed agm there was 3 members came to me and said by god that bicarbonate really works and these are old hands at the pigeons all i say see wattery droppings give bicarbonate at first signs within 2 days you will see a difference in droppings ive been doing it for nearly 20years and always if ive treated for canker before hand this has been posted before and i know for a fact other fanciers has got benifits from it and i know this is the first they will try first sign of wattery droppings most of the times it could be cleared before testing but as i said in previous posts this works most of the time happy with results ive found with this remedy RITCHIE1 MUST HAVE TRIED IT WITH SUCCESS BUT ITS UP TO EACH FANCIER WHAT TO DO FOR THERE BIRDS IF THEY DONT WANT TO GIVE THEM BICARBONATE SODA A HARMLESS SUBSTANCE GO TO THE VETS EVERY SIGN OF WATTERY DROPPINGS THEY WONT BE IN PIGEONS LONG CHEERS bi carb will not solve all watery droppings and its not really advisable to make fanciers believe that it is so! sometimes you need to involve a vet (with pigeon knowledge). its entirely upto the individual which course he takes but i would advise anyone with continual wattery droppings to have a test done. for the price it takes ..its better to know than to go on worrying...peace of mind. some vets do love unknowledgable fanciers to call at their practises..but thats down to the individual vet..and not in general. they can try bi-carb..but waiting around for it to solve problems could increse the problem ten fold. there are wattery droppings that will not be cured by bi-carb and need quick treatment...this is why testing will prove invaluble.
BLACK W F Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 if Walter says it clears it up in two days give it a go and see if it works what dosage to ltre of water walter
walterbmasson Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 BLACKW/F TABLE SPOON TO 3PINTS THEN POST RESULTS ON SITE RESULTS
dwh Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 why not put them on bi-carb if you have to wait 4 results then if bi-carb clears it no harm done
Guest joshdonlan Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 are you giving them everything they need? what you feeding on? have they got grit?
BLACK W F Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 i have not got any watery droppings i was just asking what the dosage was if i did i would give it a try why not
Guest bigbok Posted December 18, 2009 Report Posted December 18, 2009 watery droppings are associated with two diseases only one been cocci main one sedond one ecoli not as common it will most likley be coci especially with the damp wet weather we have had this last month or two
