hi we use stalosan, and we find it great we get it from a bird supplier in perth scotland

The stuff I got this time was different from the others I have had in the past it was more of a sugary consistency when the others have been a fine powder just wondered if they had changed it

As you well know, by now ?????????? I'm not the brightest bunny around here, not by a long shot, so I dont mind admitting etc. I wouldn't have a bloody clue what your talking about above.

It's 25kg fine powder in a paper bag, and there is a warning not to let it get wet. Doesn't say what will happen to it tho.

I use it and find it a very good product i use it sparingly with a mix of sawdust on the deep litter , had no problems with it going hard this could be that your shed is damp or its where you are keeping it stored

They must have changed it because there is no way the powder could crystallise it just tends to go lumpy, or you would have to really soak it  :-/

It was more of a red colour than the usual pink kept dry just begining to wonder if it was a bit damp on receipt but on saying that it still gets caught in the filter of the mask

I'd say it is pink. But it does go red when sprinkled on a damp patch. Maybe yours has been a bit damp to start with?

Have you tried the product ZENOSAN LOFT TREATMENT, its effective against E.Coli 157, Bird Flu H7 and keeps the loft dry, clean and disease free. Useage is recommended at the rate of 50gms per square metre.Its classified as being a dry powdered disenfectant which also has Cinnamon Leaf Oil added to give the loft a pleasing odour. A 25kgs sack costs @ £23.50.
