The Navigator Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 I use potasiem patagante and one tick.
Guest IB Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 Doesn't seem to matter what you add to it, if there's water in it, they'll bathe in it. Seen mine bathe in a muddy pool in my garden during heavy rain. I usually keep the garlic water from the drinkers and add that to the cold bath water; no garlic today because their probiotic is due, so added a few glugs of malt vinegar, handful of table salt and a splash of washing up liquid - same result, aviary is swimming.

Guest IB Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 may i ask why washing up liquid Its just the residue left from washing the plastic pail before I make up their bath water in it. I think it helps clean their feet and feathers. I know that a former workmate showed champion budgies, he prepared for show by giving each bird a personal shampoo using washing-up liquid on a shaving-brush. Also used in cleaning wild birds caught up in heavy oil spills.
wilkins Posted November 2, 2008 Report Posted November 2, 2008 mine always drink from the bath first , would washing up liquid not be harmfull
