DOVEScot Posted September 10, 2008 Author Report Posted September 10, 2008 Unfortunately due to initial problems we have admittedly made mistakes. But we're not always to blame! How can we deliver a pigeon without an address on the box. We have collected many pigeons which have been left out for the driver to collect. Unfortunately they have not been marked with the delivery address its then down to detective work! If we don't collect the bird we're critisised if we collect and cant deliver until we have established the recipient! To enable ease of collection and delivery we're getting a booking form put on our website! This will enable customers to book 24 hours a day and 7 days a week! We are aiming to provide a number one service. All birds are checked before delivery we feed and water the birds. Most birds are delivered within 24 hours! Some even sameday! Glad to see you have joined the site and are sorting out any problems that arise, please keep us all posted, click on these links for members feedback :-/ http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1221050414/ http://forum.pigeonbasics.com/m-1221050449/

jakjak Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Would be interesting to know when this was.....as I too had pigeons picked up from Scotland, and they did not deliver on the day they stated as the van had broke down. They also turned up with NO BOXES. I got the pigeons after 2 nights on the understanding that the pigeons had been fed and watered. When I got the pigeons they were in a crate, (fair enough) but I have been in pigeons long enough to know that they were not fed and watered. I am now going to give pigeon tracker a try. Well I have given pigeon tracker a try, pigeon picked up from me today in northants and delivered today in County durham, seems impressive, however I paid £25 which is the rate clearly stated on this website and their website. When the pigeon was delivered, the driver asked the guy for a fiver!! And he paid it. :-/ wots that about then?? And I could only pay cash....fair enough, but it would be nice to know in advance, brillant delivery, but wot about the extra charge? Think i might give amdeliveries ago!lol think coopers might have just shaded that one has anyone used amdeliveries?
retired Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 I have used AM Adam - Very good service but then also used Tracker and had fantastic service from Jamies team also. I feel much happier now than the Amtrack days knowing i have a proper choice and no monopoly on the courier market. My only disappointment is that AM could not deliver some nest boxes i wanted gone and obviously tracker only do pigeons - looks like parcel force for them.

frank-123 Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 my story so far now listen carefully phoned coopers to pick up in devon call you back no call phoned back the next day we will call you back no call they contact the guy in devon we will collect wednesday no collection phone call from coopers to say they were 50 miles from me with my pigeons i called devon the birds were not collected called coopers the person that called me to say my birds were 50 miles away made a mistake but the birds were getting collected today (thursday) ;D the birds were collected the story will continue ....... i think they have been overwhelmed with the job of moving pigeons around the country as well as there normal jobs i only feel sorry for all the staff
DOVEScot Posted September 12, 2008 Author Report Posted September 12, 2008 Why are all the vans breaking down? ....bit weird that.... :X Best excuse to man, blame the machine
pigeonman007 Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Vallance... for your nestboxes it might be worth looking at www.payperparcel.co.uk or www.interparcel.co.uk, depends largely on size though I think
alex wight Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Hi Valance, speak to jamie at pigeon tracker about moving nest boxes, as long as the safety of the birds are not compromised he may be able to deliver them for you. Its worth asking though, alex. I have used AM Adam - Very good service but then also used Tracker and had fantastic service from Jamies team also. Roland Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 Well we have three, and more, trying to please. Now that has to be a good thing! Good for us also that three - or more, are active on here, that has to be a bonus too.
DOVEScot Posted September 12, 2008 Author Report Posted September 12, 2008 Well we have three, and more, trying to please. Now that has to be a good thing! Good for us also that three - or more, are active on here, that has to be a bonus too. The strong will flourish and the week will just muddle along, nothing better than healthy competition for price and standards, that is what was wrong with the monopoly that Amtrak held, three is just a fine number for competing, two can strike a deal and four is too many to play against each other
ALF Posted September 12, 2008 Report Posted September 12, 2008 The thing that gets me is where were all these firms in the last few months??? Why no advertising??? Only once Amtrak went out the game they all appear fighting for business..
