if there 14 days old before you get rings your leaving it late mate  .. very painful for the birds getting rings on at that age .. they may not even go on ..  if there well fed big youngings

don't think you will manage it at that age,  bad planing mate they birds will want fed all year and be of no use to you  till next year  you should have taken the eggs away  after 10 days sitting  live in learn

I wouldn't even try at 14 days, it's not fair to put the pigeon through the pain.

i wouldnt mate as the feet as started to develope and will be to big to slid aring over the toes even with vaseline on it will be painful for the bird and could make the leg swell and you will have to cut the ring off if it was me i would of took the eggs away at 9 to 10 days and put dummys under them.

lots of fairy liquid and massage the foot well make it nice and  flexible will be tought thow and have a lighter just in case you pull of a toe  ??) ??)

at 14 days you will rip the skin.... youngster s also eat alot and i like the stock to feed well... dont take food away as this wont help the cause... give them away and start again very cold to have young.... !!!!!! however im going to wait middle january , no rush all !!!! mikey ....

No chance,  wasting ya time trying at 14 days.  Ive struggled at 8 days old and have been buggered at 10 days after forgetting.

and with a old ring on you can still sent them as trainers jmo

force rings on them at that age

put on 2009 rings

in all reality they should be rung as 2009 birds as thats when they hatched . hence why the rpra doesent send out rings till the 5th of jan to try and make sure all birds are hatched in 2010 ect . mind you i had some hatch on boxingday once and just got the rings on .

I think your wasting your time,should you be lucky though I would use washing up liquid and a ladies hair clip to pull the back toe through,as I say if your lucky.

ive done it with the odd bird that has slipped its ring or been missed but its not easy wouldnt even try ring with old birds and plan your y/bird next year good luck
