Guest stb- Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 PLENTY VASELINE BUT JUST TAKE YOUR TIME, WONT BE EASY AT THAT AGE IF YOU DONT KNOW WHAT YOUR DOING
pearse1888 Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 if there 14 days old before you get rings your leaving it late mate .. very painful for the birds getting rings on at that age .. they may not even go on .. if there well fed big youngings
Guest bigda Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 don't think you will manage it at that age, bad planing mate they birds will want fed all year and be of no use to you till next year you should have taken the eggs away after 10 days sitting live in learn
Guest Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 I wouldn't even try at 14 days, it's not fair to put the pigeon through the pain.
Guest bakes Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 i wouldnt mate as the feet as started to develope and will be to big to slid aring over the toes even with vaseline on it will be painful for the bird and could make the leg swell and you will have to cut the ring off if it was me i would of took the eggs away at 9 to 10 days and put dummys under them. all the best.
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 lots of fairy liquid and massage the foot well make it nice and flexible will be tought thow and have a lighter just in case you pull of a toe ??) ??)

Taylorsloft Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 ;)hi dose anyone know how long after 8 days can you get a ring on and the best way the birds may be 14 days old when i get my rings only one pair put on 2009 rings
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 in all reality they should be rung as 2009 birds as thats when they hatched . hence why the rpra doesent send out rings till the 5th of jan to try and make sure all birds are hatched in 2010 ect . mind you i had some hatch on boxingday once and just got the rings on .
greenlands Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 I think your wasting your time, should you be lucky though I would use washing up liquid and a ladies hair clip to pull the back toe through,as I say if your lucky. Lindsay.
pjc Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 put 09 ring on and train/race it with your oldbirds.
Guest WINGS 04 Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 go to your secitory they have the rings on the 1st of january and ask them for them they
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted December 23, 2009 Report Posted December 23, 2009 rpra rings are not sent out till the 5th of jan and thats if your lucky
