cemetary Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Bluelad, well done mate, i have tried to restle with Bristows, Aberdeen, they will not allow it any more, why i just dont no mate, they are more of a hazard flying around when the chopper is about to land, how they dont see it i dont no. The last time i sent them ashore, i had to contact the customs etc to have clearance, :-/ Maybe if the RSPCA were to intervene they would allow this.
john cumming Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 yes bristows are a nitemare to deal with im fed up trying to get them to take them, ive started sending them in on the supply boats and have them released in aberdeen, at least they have a sporting chance ??
Guest Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 there must be a good few pigeon men on the rigs doing this my mates on the brae/bravo and trys to do the same but he was stopped a few years ago aswell

Take a bow mate for taking the time and trouble. You're a star in our eyes.
blue lad Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 i have dropped bristows a line .iam ngoing to phone in morning.if that fails the crane op on the rig said he would take them in his bag to norwich.other wise id put them on the boat but the boats here till sat.could be more next week.iv put birds back every week since start of racing.people wonder where there birds go.nothing will fly through fog even the best of them.
cemetary Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 In his bag, :-/ :-/ :-/ you no as well as me mate the way they fling these bags aboot, bad idea in my eyes, but at least your trying your hardest to get them back, why dont you go that extra bit and get hold of the logistics guy and ask him to speak to who he deals with in bristows. If that fails, send the RSPCA an email and put your case over to them, see if the will listen. At least your trying your hardest mate.
john cumming Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 its time something was done lads as a lot oh good birds are going down the pan, ive even had the oim on here send emails & letters and no joy, he sides with us as well ??
blue lad Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 NO THE CRANE OP AND THE GUYS WORKIN COPTER KNOW.THEY ARE IN A BOX WITHIN ABAG AND ARE PUT AT TAIL END AWAY FROM OTHER BAGS.THE BOYS ARE IN THE KNOW.
cemetary Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 At the end of the day, no matter who sends emails etc, if Bristows say no thats the end off. The only one to take it up will be the RSPCA/RSPCB. OIM is the one thats resposible for the rig, so he should have more clout.

cemetary Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Frankdooman, Am not asking the guy to risk his job, certainley not, so what are you talking about, i no the way the guys fling the bags about in the helicopter, i was only saying the last resort is to contact the above bodies, no name no blame. If the customs check the guys bags, what would the next thing to happen to the guy who brought them ashore, think about it.
blue lad Posted June 15, 2009 Author Report Posted June 15, 2009 AYE I KNOW WHERE YOUR COMING FROM BOYS.A NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT CUSTOMS.ITS THE BOAT THEN.
cemetary Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 You no if the customs come across something like this, it will make there day, dont take any chances with them mate, they are all wenkers, not a good one amongst them.
Guest Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 AYE I KNOW WHERE YOUR COMING FROM BOYS.A NEVER THOUGHT ABOUT CUSTOMS.ITS THE BOAT THEN. keep doing what you can we cant ask for more thanks
ally mac Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Customs and excise!!!!!!!!!! We were repairing one of their boats a few years ago, we had to go below as part of the job. It was hillarious, they were using a computer in one of the cabins to copy CDs, they even offered us some if we wanted them!
cemetary Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Eye where did they get the copys from, some oil rigger that makes them there wages, wenkers.
ally mac Posted June 15, 2009 Report Posted June 15, 2009 Eye where did they get the copys from, some oil rigger that makes them there wages, wenkers. They were making the copies themselves Dougie, Have to say we got plenty tea and bacon rolls , wasnt the worst job ive been on. Just thought it was weird. You hear of them chasing folk round the barra's for counterfieting cds and here they are passing the time doing the same.
