Guest strapper Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 ive decided to let my no1 clock go,its been my no1 clock for over 8-9 yrs. its never let me down and always been an exellent time keeper...most races an acurrate reading...otherwise losing 1 second. as you can see..this clock wouldnt be here if it wasnt any good. i have the use now of 2 new t3,s...so this maybe of use for someone. if anyone is interested then pm me...open to offers. it just needs a wipe over. i think its about £12 to post it..buyer pays postage.

carlsberg Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 the stb quartz keep perfect time the only reason they gain or lose a second is the person striking them off
Guest strapper Posted November 13, 2009 Report Posted November 13, 2009 as ive had enquiries about this clock...i will place amount offered to make it fair to anyone interested. if it doesnt reach the required amount i think is a fair price for this, then i will withdraw it and offer it at a later date. ill leave the offer open till 9pm dead. sunday 15th nov. thanks for the interest already.
Guest ROCKYandRAMBO Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 yes i used my stb with out thimbles this year . but they have to be the square case one like the one offered here for sale
bluey Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 Could not understand why wind up STB and Benzing clocks were not on the approved list for use with out thimbles. They have the same mechanism as the quartz clocks for holding rubbers/thimbles. What is the difference?

Tony C Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 are there 2 types of grey stb ? one that can be used thimbeless and one not???? The square case STB which has a 6 digit serial number can be used without thimbles, you have to use thinbles with the round case STB which has a 5 digit serial number.

Tony C Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 Be warned! the rubber can get caught between the shield and thimble chamber resulting in an empty box, it happened this year in my club with an STB and Benzin
micko and jack Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 "its never let me down " so strapper what are you saying the clocks sound it was the birds that let you down haha
Guest strapper Posted November 14, 2009 Report Posted November 14, 2009 "its never let me down " so strapper what are you saying the clocks sound it was the birds that let you down haha i dont blame the birds...would never do that.....its the mrs gets the brunt of it ... ;D i blame her ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D i used this clock every year and it passed the 3 way test easy each time...one good thing about a quartz is it only has to be done one night instead of the usual 3-4 nights of a wind up. 1 battery lasts all season..even a cheap one ;D
