Booking Liberation Sites With The Rpra

has anyone dealt with this before with the rpra wanting you to have public liability insurance before you can book liberation site ???

Not had it from the RPRA, but I have had it from Local Councils. I'm afraid it is the direction most organisations are following.

When you are a Member Club of the RPRA your fees cover you for this, but the SHU doesn't have this in place. I tried getting it for my Federation, but couldn't buy it as a stand alone product. I had to take out a Club Insurance to get it.

We have insurance for baskets and clocks but also had to have public liability insurance for the club, couldn't get any insurance cover without it - that's been the case for atleast 3 years

This was the only way I could get Public Liability cover for my Federation. We had to take out Club insurance for our baskets and trailer, etc. The liability came with this as standard.

We used to have club insurance to cover the clocks and baskets in storage - they would no longer do it without public liability insurance which we did not have before - it added about £100 to the cost - it costs more to cover the baskets and clocks than it does to insure my home for full rebuilding costs and public liability
