    Lice

ivomec is far stronger than ivermeicin which ive already stated is a watered down version the drop on the back of a birds neck spreads through the feathers killing mite/ lice as it spreads as for 48 hours dont know where you got this info from but ivomec stays effective for over 6 months

    Lice

ivermeicin is watered down ivomec which will kill all mites
  7. if this is the case whats the point in having a pocket clock
  8. im thinking that that would work if a few fanciers used 1 pocket clock with all their details on it but i think a pocket clock must be used somewhere at marking could be wrong though
  9. dont think this is possable alex you would need your pocket clock to store the information of your birds and the ets ring particulars the base only stores info that a bird has arrived but you still need your clock to upload it then download at your club also how would you racemark birds for a race without a pocket clock

    Lice

i think that the stuff your using isnt working as a bird will clean its feathers while preening and any dead eggs/mite will be removed i think the ones you have must still be alive

    Lice

would think that would be mite rather than lice george the ivomec/ivermeicin clears them up for 6 months 1 or 2 drops on the back of the neck not sure if you still get duramitex
  12. THE MAKER OF THE BATTERY IN THE CLOCK IS TOSHIBA
  13. YES THATS THE STUMBLING BLOCK WOULD IT NOT BE POSSABLE TO APPROACH THE SHU/RPRA TO COMMISION SOMEONE TO MAKE SEALS THEN THE SEALS COULD BE ISSUED TO FEDS SO THAT BATTERYS COULD BE DONE LOCALLY AND COST A FRACTION OF THE EXISTING PRICE
  14. my mate has just opened his pocket clock and shown it to an electrician who confirmed the details of the battery as a lithium battery number CR 2450 which can be purchased online for 78 pence the clip which holds the battery is soldered in place ps- this system belongs to my mate so he can do with it as he wishes and i understand that the seal being broken it cannot be used until resealed
  15. dont know jam as never had a motor on finance and never been asked by insurance companys if on finance when getting insurance
  16. i may be wrong but i thought that when you got car insurance the deal was done with you and not any finance company and any claim was paid to either the garage for repairs or yourself if scrapped any deal for finance is a seperate matter your deal with the finance company continues till paid up wheather you have still got the car or not when asking for insurance do you even have to tell them its on finance i could be totaly wrong here but this was my understanding of it
  17. that wouldnt affect the insurance eg with contents insurance your jacket is covered if lost or damaged as would be your golf clubs if stolen from your car
  18. i think the problem lies in that you cannot insure something that does not belong to you so ive just been told and with unikon claiming ownership that would scupper that idea
  19. yes lindsay it would be, and a lot cheaper too
  20. this would mean the club buying them at £1.25 each and selling to the members at £1.40 each
  21. archie we already had a base and well in the club as i think 5 members flew ets at that time when we got the lottery grant the bill to them was for a base a well and 8 systems which to me is a bill of sale the old base and well went back to them as it was on loan
  22. that depends lindsay my club got clocks through lottery funding which included the base station and well which were listed in the equipment we recieved and the grant paid for but still got a letter from unikon lastyear asking us to insure their equipment
  23. i think you are correct you cannot force anyone to do jobs in your club but if someone is not pulling their weight and fit enough to do so you can all individually refuse to handle their birds which their is nothing they can do about just make it clear at the start of the season that everone is expected to help at basketing also for those that turn up right at the end every friday if baskets are sealed will only get 1 cock and 1 hen marked funny how they get to marking earlier inst it

    Unikon

i still think that it would bring the price down say they sell 1 million rings next year instead of say 4 million at say £1.30 a ring the gross loss in revinue would be 3.9 million they would be better off selling rings at £1 and getting the 4 million sales again jmo because what company can afford to lose 3/4 of their sales ok this is only in the uk but what price are they charging abroad ive heard they are a lot cheaper abroad some have bought the cheaper rings but found they were not compatable to the uk systems i wonder why a battery was i think £40 to change 3 years ago why is it so much now the reason is they have flooded the market over here with unikon systems so arnt getting the sales the only way to get the same revinue is to bump up the prices of everything else they are now wanting clubs to pay i think £60 to insure their base stations these figures are only used as an example and are probably nowhere near the true figures
