  8. with unikon when our guys got theirs they were given the option of a mains connection or a battery one i dont think the battery one was expensive only a few £s the fittings are both the same but the mains one goes into the socket next to the on off switch the battery one goes in the outer socket next to it
  9. i think you should go to your bed with a hot water bottle and stay there till monday just so you get rid of the cold m8 got to think of your health 1st alan

  13. with the price of ets rings the cost of replacing the batterys a lot of fanciers are going back to racing their youngbirds on rubbers even heard some are getting rid of their ets and going back to the old clocks totally
  14. looks like 971 for the day hope a few tomorow 1124 libbed so 153 still awol
  15. our officials were instructed at the agm to contact you lads to look at the possability of going together for some of the longer races
  16. all 11 home safe and sound last count 844 home from 1124 with team elpeth morrison coming in a very good 13th place and wul with 171st 174th 610th i think welldone all
  17. all depends what you want out of them if looking for an experianced team for the future take it easy with them if i get my yearlings to 260 rotherham im happy whith 1 or 2 going further why i do this is because my fed is tied in with the national program and any race we have over 260 is with them and i think its a graveyard for inexperianced yearlings that why i only send 1 or 2 along with the older birds
  18. correct they only fly round the loft and obviously go ranging whith the other team
  19. i race a team and have a second team loft flying only after the yearling stage ive about the same of each team left a lot of my best birds never saw a basket as a youngbird
  20. 1122 birds in now out the last 3 birds 1s an irish entry and the last ones for chris gordon
  21. intresting getting a few views on this john could be a diff outlook on this from the north sec as some guys up here fly over 600 miles for all the channel races except ypres and you would class that as extreme distance and i would class as distance
  22. what distance constitutes a long distance bird/fancier 500/600/700/or further short distance 0- 250 middle distance 250- 500 middle to long distance 500- 650 long distance 650 plus only posted as an example as to distances pick from flyer consistently scoring in the chosen band forget about the inland races and ypres they arnt of any distance to qualify as distance races jmo
  23. yes
  24. aye andy lad i wouldnt put on anything of hers shes utter mince
