  1. Stonehaven, overcast and has been offering to rain since 5:00. Little/no wind. Doesn't look like clearing soon. Saw Essex + 2 other transporters at lib site last night.
  2. Still seems to be birds still seem to be getting through according to SNRPC updates.
  3. Still not many on lib line, was expecting a steady update of birds getting home.
  4. Well Jim had a walk along the front at 19:00 and nice SSE breeze blowing to help them. Great flying again, cracking pigeons.
  5. Best of luck to all competing.
  6. Well done Robbie, couldn't have been far away last night.
  7. Amazing its dark here, many congratulations
  8. Stonehaven, blustery SE wind and raining. Even the gulls aren't flying in it.
  9. Last Saturday it rained continuously in Stonehaven (about 45 miles south of Fraserburgh. Eased off about 17:00 for an hour then started again. It wasn't that heavy most of the time but wet none the less.
  10. Thanks Davie, they'll need it. Are you sending?

    Are We Sharp!

I've probably 7 or 8 pairs within a 5 mile radius, and 5 of those miles east is all North Sea. If I recall, the RSPB, after they trotted out their " they only take sick and injured" though no mention of how many injuries were caused by them, their next suggestion was "race your birds outwith percy breeding season" which up here is approx May - Sept. They are still teaching youngsters how to hunt that late in the year. I doubt very much if you will find any lib site without peregrines in a 5 mile radius, probably lucky if 2 up here.
  14. And best of luck to you too!
  15. Best of luck Davy,
  16. Stonehaven, high cloud starting to break. Light W wind.
  17. Wonder if you can get it at Tescos. Every little helps!
  18. Party political broadcast on behalf of the rspBBc. Maths a bit questionable. When they said they expected 500 pairs of harriers there was only 5. Does that mean when they tried to tell us (and Jo public) there were 2000 percy there was actually 200,000 and that was 20 years ago.
  19. Great to hear its going well. All the best!
  20. Was waiting for 10/13 from Witton Castle, but 9yo hen has just arrived back through very heavy rain. Couldn't believe it, also has blue bar in tow.
  21. No the bodys not gone. Probably the spirit has. This game is dieing. it was easier getting doos away 30 years ago than it is now! Cheers my man, all the best!
  22. Multiple reasons, I know my breathing is affected and if that was the only reason I might have tried a pressurised mask, but with the hawks, the cost of feed, training, the nearest club I can compete in is at least 15 miles away...................its become a chore. After 45 years with the doos I just haven't a clue what I'm going to do, still get great pleasure from just watching them going in and out building their nests and generally enjoying themselves.
  23. Well thats my birds away for their first serious fly of their season, but my last one. Think its about 120 miles, though never had a distance for the race point. Very mixed emotions. Only sent as trainers, but for those of you actually racing, wish you all the best.
  24. With Aberdeen normal losses you must have had about 600 awa to be only missing 20
  25. Sorry to hear that.
