Very well done. Really hard race.
-
Well done lads, amazing result.
-
is it libline, or the members?
-
Well done Jim. Great performance in this weather
-
Well done to all who timed, especially the 600 milers in the North. Tough race again.

Nae wonder the pigeon game is dead. The guy lets them go 30 minutes earlier than expected, in the interest of the doos and he gets slated. If he'd waited the 30 mins and they got caught in thunder storms, who would have more to lose. Form an orderly queue for the position of race controller at your AGM

Well done to Cowie&Mackie. Are there any more in North sect? And what a cracking pigeon in Forfar last night. Looks to have yet another stiff test,

Nice morning in Stonehaven. High broken cloud. North wind. If you do get a lib then should be a fast one.
-
Just think if they'd been 13:00 and 13:10 yesterday!!!!!!!!!!

Agree with Delboy, one of best ways to send natural doos was to chipping eggs, The birds dont just start producing soft food once eggs have hatched, its there ready for youngsters.
-
Well done Dooheed. And congrats to all who have timed. Again many great performances.
-
As long as they flying well, just not kitted, nothing to worry about.

Weather in Aberdeen is high broken cloud. Little/no wind. Sea is like a mirror. Excellent visibilty. Best of luck.

For those who still think its only the female sparrowhawk that takes your pigeons. Hope this wasn't someones favourite in Forres. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-21899861 6th picture in.

Was at Tesco in Aberdeen today and was greeted by an RSPB tin shaker. He was wearing a "save the rainforests" sash. Now its a while since I was at school, but can never recall them mentioning any rainforest in the UK. One lady put something in his bucket and I asked her if she realised what she was donating to. Pointed out to her that theres not a lot of rainforests in Aberdeenshire, and her money was going to there precious bops. Was curious as to which rainforest he was saving but got no answer on the way in or again on way out. These people will stop at nothing to fleece unsuspecting public.

This was taken a few weeks ago at my loft. Percy circling waiting for my birds to get out. Not a fancy long lens, just a point and click. Only positive thing about having peregrines, if there is such a thing is they keep the sparrahawks away, and they're far worse around the loft.

Only birds remaining are 12, 14, 16, 20, 25, and 26. Think 26 may be a cock.

Just replied to u shasha

Vone, no pm from you?? I'm in sunny Stonehaven.
-
be visible around lofts at all times when birds are out Makes no difference, I've had a sphawk hit the bird on the trap with me trying to chase it in. The two of them fell at my feet.

Thanks Clockman. All the best to you. Hasn't been easy decision to make.
-
Thanks Lee, like the Always learning bit.

Entire clearance of OBs YBs & Stock. Sex of YBs cannot be guaranteed. Flying into the North section of SNFC, my results since 2000:- 2000 5th Sect Lille 487 miles. 2001 7th Sect Hastings 437miles . 2002 7th Sect 27th Open Clermont 560 miles. 2003 335th Open Newbury 386. 2005 13th Sect Newbury, 13th Sect Falaise 567 miles. 2007 2nd Sect 91st Open Alencon 597 miles only sent one pigeon. 2008 11th Sect 59th Open Alencon, 41st & 43rd Open Ypres 471miles . 2009 12th Sect Eastbourne 442miles, 3rd Sect 123 Open Ypres. 2010 27th Sect Bovingdon 368, 7th Sect 126th Open Eastbourne 442. 2011 1st Sect 19th Open Messac 632 miles only sent 2, 8th Sect Ypres 471. This with a typical team of 10 – 12 pairs of old birds and 12 – 15 youngsters and normally only going to 3 or 4 nationals a year. These pigeons are descended from pigeons that have flown consistently from 400, 500 and 600 miles. I have only bought in 4 pigeons (Jan Aardens) since 1997, and have been delighted with the way they have crossed into my old family. The loft is being turned into a shed, but I will keep a section for birds until June/July 2013 if anyone wants to break the pigeons into their own lofts.
