  1. A pic of my y/b pen and before cleaning I give a light mist spray so the fine particles are not in the air it is not 100% dust free but does help with my PFL and if you look at the post of my yearlings you will see the birds are in good condition despite the open aspect of the pen, but I feel they do eat more so if you have an "open" loft you may need to feed more than you would with a traditional loft design

    Yearlings

Juat a few updated pics now they are on eggs and Y/b`s this hen seems to be barren :-/ and is sitting out on some "pot" eggs a shame as she seems a nice type but it will give me chance to manipulate things when she is racing on natural the "barren hen" and her mate

    hows the training

With only having yearlings it will be about another 3 weeks before mine see the basket and then only if the weather is good , once they have been trained I will put them in the midweek for a few short races before deciding on a longer term race plan for the year , they may just race the midweek program and start the hard work next year when I will hopefully have a larger team

    advice please

if you intend taking another round make sure there is a 2nd nestpan as he is probably driving her again or if babies are 14 days let the cock sit/ feed during day and then lock cock in spare section and let hen sit feed at night and then remove y/bs as soon as possible in case he starts knocking them about as well

    help needed

Best way is to open a photobucket account and upload pics to there and then just copy and paste the IMG code on to any posts on here http://photobucket.com/
  12. Not sure if still the same now but MNFC used to be that youngbirds had to be wearing a MNFC ring to compete in there races , but old birds as long as in owners name can be wearing any clubs ring

    Yearlings

They have been trained to 50 miles and had 4 tosses from there and about 12/15 tosses in the build up to the 50 mile stage also they had a single up from the 20 mile stage , will probably give them a few midweek races then step them in to the fed races at the comeback stage , I need to hold as many as possible to build a team for the next few years
