  6. I've split out the moderation comments to a locked topic on the Website News & Views board. If someone wants a discussion about the general case then post it. Keep this auction topic for the auction.
  7. If its a constructive topic then why not? I dont think you should presume what I will sanction or not. Hundreds of topics about the site, forum, moderation, etc have been allowed to run in the past, there are not many sites that would allow half of them to stay! Something that many seem to forget. I think it is presumptuous for you to assume and (if this topic materialises) to start the discussion in such a negative and conflict inducing way.
  8. The posts were removed because the detracted from the auction, just as the banter did. Now I'm quite happy to discuss this elsewhere but lets keep this topic for this auction, like stated in the first place
  9. It was posted on page 2 how this topic was to be moderated. After the debacle of the previous auction and comments received this was decided.
  10. Just to keep everyone in the loop. I have contacted TonyW to find out the reason he is alluding to in his post. If any other members have any information please drop me a PM.
  11. Here are a few of the photos Gemma took at the show - well apart from the one with Gemma in, which was taken by DoveScot
  12. Lets not let the auction go like it did last time. This is an auction for Ben's White Busschaert, anything but posts relevant to the auction or birds, or bids will be promptly removed.

  14. As Gemma said I contacted Andrew as soon as I finished work this evening. In all honesty he did answer all of my questions quickly, easily and without hesitation. I urge anyone who has any questions or confusion to give him a ring at the number below. I can't condone his actions on the forum, and it is my opinion that it would have been very simple to inform people of what was going on and to nip any question/rumor in the bud. He tells me that the auction ending early was because the auction being setup whilst under British Summer Time, and ending under GMT - thats where the hour error came in, this misunderstanding is a viable reason with my experience with a similar problem at work in recent weeks. However the email from the auction website is a mystery. Andrew has said that he has been in contact with the people behind the website and they have said that they have never sent any email. This latter point I have not verified, however if anyone wishes to do so... By mutual consent Andrew will not be returning to the forum, and I urge any further queries or questions to be forwarded to him directly at 01753 622863 or via his website.
  15. We put the trophy up last year, so you're the second holders Well done
  16. Well done Ally the magnificent sum raised is a credit to you and everyone who donated, bought... Let us know how Phoebe is getting on whenever you can.
  17. Steady on there, I want to get some kip not start a riot ;D
  18. I'll take entries up until 23rd December. We'll present the trophy at Blackpool (24th & 25th January) at the Pigeonbasics stand. Can you tell I can't get to sleep tonight
  19. What version of Firefox are you using?
  20. Sounds like it could be a cookie problem. I think its Tools - Options - Security. Check that you allow cookies from www.pigeonbasics.com The reason you'll get IP blocked is repeated attempts to login - the system thinks you're trying to guess someone's password.
  21. Happy Birthday Tammy
  22. Well done B Massey winning the Pigeonbasics trophy :) Sorry we couldn't make it this year Terry, turned out to be a nice weekend too, last couple the ferries have been off and on
  23. I had this in a young bird a few years back - ruptured air sack. Do the needle method as described above, but not into the crop, its a layer just between the skin and the crop, and get the air out. Try and keep the bird from flying, because it stops the rupture from healing, and it may inflate again - if it does repeat the needle thing. I had to use the needle twice with the young blue cock I had it with, he was confined to the loft for a week or so and then was back to normal If anyone has Colin Walkers book to hand, its described much better in there
