all racers use petron stall traps with ets pads attatched to underside absolutely great on racedays just stand back and watch it all happen no chasing birds about the loft, don't miss any birds dropping when in loft clocking when away to club or not in attendance later in the day every one of your arrivals is recorded...very handy for monitoring the form of a pigeon

there will always be differing opinions on ets systems but a a user of the sytem i think it the best thing since sliced bread! the rings could be an off put, but if some fanciers during the off season just stopped for one minute before buying pigeons they do not really need at auctions etc. then there is your answer just a thought guys

darkness yb's seems to be the more successful system for flying youngsters especially when we get further down the country. lets not forget it is only healthy & fit pigeons that will win races regardless of any system flown on, if a fancier can have sixteen of a drop then i take my hat of to such fanciers as it is only sheer dedication that can achieve success like this. it is then upto clubs to place restrictions on positions, my own club award the first ten positions and then any poolers...this seems to keep everybody happy. up here in scotland i can see these type of restrictions actually tightening now that more lofts will be flying to an ets system next year. once again as long as most fanciers are happy with restrictions imposed then that is the way forward.

give it a break lads getting all rather boring! if andrew wants to sell birds that is his objective nobody is asking you to buy them, so get off the high horse and put something constructive into this forom for once. being rather new to this forum it appears to be the same fanciers who like to STIR THE sh**!...nothing new in the pigeon game i suppose!!! i wonder if andrew sometimes purposely creates these posts just to get up ur noses, if he does it certainly works!!!

pay ur money and take ur chances...some will be unhappy, some will be over the moon. it has been known for these pigeons to jump eggs after 7-10 days so beware!

log onto 'www.awardsforall.org.uk' and print off an application form and a set of guidance notes...get advice from some one who has filled one out before you submit it.

its time to move with the times lads and leave individual personalities behind lets think of the sport and the bigger picture for once. ets has been in scotland for a couple seasons now and initually like all new technoligy fanciers are frightened off by it and the scare mongering that goes with it ceratinly doesnt help. gradually in scotland more fanciers are seeing the real benefits of the system, its not all about timing say six pigeons in 2 seconds! there is nothing better standing back on a saturday watching your pigeons trap to the system with all the same excitement as conventional clocking, no bad traps with youngsters!!! off course the cost is a major off put, in scotland we have been fortunate for most clubs to recieve lottery grants to buy the systems for clubs and lo and behold it then becomes the best system since sliced bread. it would appear that probably the majority of scottish fanciers will have an ets system within the next season or two, as most competitive fanciers are aware they have to go with the flow or get left behind. this post is simply my own views and not intended to debate with any one, but as a user of ets i will welcome any sensible comments and answer any questions or help in any way i could.
