You would be better keeping it another couple of weeks till you are further south possibly Arniston or thereabouts to give the pigeon a better chance to make it home.

Thanks John thats doos for you, unpredictable, the races you expect to do ok in let you down even when your flying well.Having said that if I had known beforehand they were letting the pigeons up at Cheltenham I would not have sent,for the same reason I didn't send to Marlborough the previous year. Thanks for the comment's, No pigeons going over the channel as they were lost at Newbury (Cheltenham).This pigeon was 1st club 4th fed 37th reg B 55th open at this race last year. It has also been 3rd club 5th fed thisk 1st club 5th fed newark and 3rd club 24th open leicester, this year so has been a good pigeon.

Thank's for kind comment's gent's. The pigeon that was 1st club was earmarked for maidstone but has now jumped his eggs as his hen was 1 of 2 pigeon's lost at weekend, a 2 year old who had never had a night out.
