Everything posted by me

  1. Was just a thought Tammy hope it goes as well as it can for the family.
  2. Did'nt think Scott was an office bearer with the Lanarkshire fed Tammy apoligies if he is now. My point is, want to know something about Lanarkshire fed talk to somebody who is likely to know e.g. the feds PRO seems sensible to me anyway!!!!!!!
  3. Bit naughty trying to put Scott in the frame Tammy surely if your putting together an article and giving out information about a particular fed you should try and get that information from someone who is ACTUALLY A MEMBER OF THAT FED
  4. Agree with you 100% Swilcox this thread does have too much cheese!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  5. were any birds raced in the last few years Tammy?
  6. sorry pigeonscout misread it must start wearing my bloody glasses (i.e. took 30 from 100 = 70) but it was still an experiment treating against streptococcus. The rest of my post is still valid cheers
  7. "JUST ABOUT AGREE WITH YOU "ME"" oh go on Square Peg you can do it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  8. "You ain't seen nothing yet " you going to post a jpeg for us Redcheq? What of a Bad Moon Rising?
  9. "refused to cast my vote untill I hear all the facts" well the vote has already been taken so you have missed the boat Homer but luckily you did it right anyway status quo.
  10. "WHAT ABOUT YOUR CHAIRMAN HE HAS CASTING VOTE" A good president would only use his casting vote in very special circumstances don't think this comes into that category Square Peg
  11. "Vote taken in my club tonight 50% for 50% against Does that mean as the delagate I can vote for or against" -HOMER Thats easy status quo whatever you did last year you do this year.
  12. who CCR or BTO?
  13. "according to this report baytril is not very good" - pigeonscout well it was 70% successful and that was in treating streptococcus. However against salmonella it is very very effective. The reason it was banned in the USA was it was being used routinely by factory poultry farmes with the inevitable consequence of bacterial resistance. The USA drug agency think Baytril is so good they want to protect its effectiveness against some very nasty but very susceptible bacterial infections that attack humans. Does this tell anyone anything about how good this drug is when used sensibly?
  14. me

    GEMTHEPAX

also noticed it has been heavily touted on other sites as well sapper same guys and similar comments must be great publicity for the producers. I'm sure it is all completely coincidental right enough.
  15. "Does anyone use CREADANCE CLEARWATER REVIVAL as an aid to memory when treating" I'm a Bachman Turner Overdrive man myself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. me

    how many to breed

"Dont know if you are having a pop (me)" believe it or not Frank just noticed this post i can assure no "pop" intended was actually agreeing with you 100% about flying into the extreme west of the country. Also "the dooman" bit was aimed at some "scribes" who pontificate all the time but don't actually send a doo anywhere. Also my hopeless attempt at a pun at the end - " i'm a dooman(not frank) was just that. Once again no pop intended, all the best Frank. it was'nt late a night when I posted it by any chance? !!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  17. "THIS IS SLIGHTLY OVER THE TOP." - Square Peg No this is miles over the top how on earth my post on this thread could be "pulled" is beyond comprehension what are we supposed to be 10 year old children no one can say boo to or what?
  18. "Just shows how popular our Vincie is even his own members dont want t socialise with him" are you a member of the lanarkshire fed or are you just another who has dropped in to cause trouble
  19. "sorry I asked about the dance tickets it would appear homer is getting greif for his response, perhaps ( me ) could enlighten us all and tell us what part he takes in the running of his club, federation, homing union, SNFC. etc. etc.after all it is so easy to criticise some should try doing the officials jobs they wont be in such a hurry to stir it.* I was going to direct you to one of my posts on the fife fed fees thread tdoo but unbelievably Bruno has deleted another post yet again. I ask myself Richard? Now let me ask you something, are you interested in the sport of racing pigeons surviving or are you intererested in scoring points off your fellow fed members??? To paraphrase my earlier post "stand for election next year if you want to change things but be prepared to get lots of crap thrown at you from the rest of the members" hope you have a good season tdoo cheers
  20. "PEOPLE WHO RUN PIGEON RACING(GENERALLY SPEAKING) ARE THE SCUM OF THE EARTH " stand by every word have seen too much crap over these long years. Find it interesting you have missed out the rest of my quote from that post Homer would you care to come back on and do that?
  21. "not wanting to keep on about this me, but u say its just having us pay for our birds in a slightly different way, each week even if we dont go, we pay for 30 birds (if you put 80 away u pay for 30) i wouldn't call that a slight change, if u only put 10 away u pay for 30, if there is no race for bad weather or something and birds dont go u pay for 30, slight change??????? " -fifer here what you are saying fifer but really its a question of balance and trying to get it right. Some people are members but never send doos so therefore the guys that send doos help to keep their fees down so having a system where everyone pays a fee for membership and birdage helps to redress the balance but what you guys have to make sure is the balance is right. Guess that is where next years AGM comes in. All the best with your efforts.
  22. reading this thread fills me with utter dispair for even the limited future that is left for racing pigeons. A few years back my CLUB dance could attract nearly 200 to its presentation now the snfc dance is only able to get around 100 to turn up!! And when you see the way some lanarkshire members dive into make political gain out of the failure to sell tickets for their event this year. Well it is utterly pathetic! Homer don't you have a mirror?
  23. "the appeal is now in hopethe shu can now handle the work done by two of there own councillers" you might be upset with the way somethings were handle rembrandt lad but i will tell you one last thing the fife folks would be better trying to sort it themselves rather than allow the shu to run their fed for them there is no future for a fed that allows the shu to run it for one group rather than another. Wonder what the third fed will be called?
  24. "anyway just hope we can all have a good season." maybe it could have been handled better but there were still suggesting you pay for your birds just in a slightly different way. Lets hope we can all have agood season and no nasty viruses emerge to spoil things for us all the best fifer hope it works out for the fife lads and lassies!
  25. "its not democratic when only a few know about proposals going to be put forward at an agm, and the management committee puts a proposal in and its on the agenda and is not even mentioned at the agm, DEMOCRATIC ???????" - Fifer come on fifer you and i both know that fees and birdage are discussed every year and proposals are taken straight off the floor every year and a vote is taken. This proposal that was passed by a democratic vote YES DEMOCRATIC VOTE was no different from a lot of other proposals taken straight from the floor at many fife fed meetings you have attended in the past. Why not give the thing a chance the alternative is more disharmony.
