  3. Extract for the Snfc dated 25th May the contents of which is self explanatory Race Programme Following discussions between President & Vice-Presidents we have concluded that until SHU give a clear indication that we can race pigeons there is no point advertising dates for racing that we cannot guarantee will take place. There are a lot of challenges to overcome at marking etc and the safety of our members is the priority of the SNFC - we believe it will be at least three weeks before we can make a final decision on racing. 6. TRAINING AND RACING PIGEONS IN SCOTLAND This statement is based on the principles set our by the First Minister's announcement on Thursday 21 May 2020 and Friday 22 May 2020 outlining a policy for implementing Phase 1 of the easing of the lockdown policy by the Scottish Government Individual loft training Individual loft training will be permitted from 28 May 2020. This is based on the advice from the Scottish Government Group Training In Phase 1 of the Government strategy, this allows individuals to meet up with one member from a different household, while adhering to the social distancing requirements of 2 meters. Therefore group training of 2 lofts is permitted. However training in larger groups (more than two) is NOT permitted. Addidtional Information In no circumstances should fanciers from different lofts travel in the same vehicle. You should also be aware that NO RACINGis allowed in Phase 1 relaxing of the lockdown and I do not expect any notification to be received before the next stage of easing of restrictions takes place. Gordon Turnbull, B.E.M. President Scottish Homing Union Yours sincerely
  7. !!Minimising Transmission of The Droplets 💧 is essential to the risk of life ,and the fancier,s most at risk are the elderly but let’s not forget the fanciers undertaking marking duties and conveyors.!
  8. Follow the guidelines ,apply !!Common Sense !!and at all costs !!Avoid Dogmatic Applications. Why don’t we consider having 6 training events say 2-100mls 2-150mls 2-250 mls (forget race marking processes )for old birds and similar training event for youngsters.Sadly racing for 2020 is over and !Winning is only Secondary !the most important thing is the Health and Safety of all our members ,families and friends. Take Care and Stay Safe

  12. When Lockdown is eased it would be prudent to hold !!Delegate meeting !!to decide and come to amicable solution agreed by the (club representatives )to our race programme and if !Mid Week !racing goes ahead what happens with the averages etc if members can’t race mark .

  15. Guys not using ETS maybe the problem but I’m sure Wee John will come up with something. So what do we need ? *Overseer/secretary. *Someone on Base Station *2 able fancier,s on the baskets . There will be other factors out with our control but not limited to the following:- *Marking Station suitability. *Social distancing regulations and any relaxation of same. *Risk Assessment Compliance *Personal circumstances of each fancier.(for example) .Has your household been tested positive Covid 19 .Fanciers with under lying health issues. Certainly challenging times but if we stick to ridged measures we should get racing our pigeons .Take Care 😷
  16. He’s Spitting the Dummy Tommy give him further discount and his own way and he will be fine .If we stick to social distancing ,use the proper PPE and also due to time constraints it may also be worthwhile putting a limit on the birdage as suggested things should go like clockwork.😷😷🥽🥽🧤🧤
  17. No Problem it’s all in the Discounted feeding .😷
  18. Let’s hope there is no double handling of birds between fancier and handlers.Stations should be set up in such a manner that the fancier puts his own birds through the ETS Well , then once recorded placed in the adjacent race baskets .
  19. Excellent Tommy as long clubs can accommodate race marking in line with Government Requirements .ðŸ‘
  20. Never to young to vaccinate when you see the the results of the Best Fancier,s in Scotland and the U.K.(only a matter of time before they vaccinate the egg)
