  1. I have five later bred in 2016 that have not yet seen a basket, if training goes well and only one does well racing in 2017 I will be pleased.

    Benzing G2

The system can be used for training without registering the ring. All that needs to be done is allocate a ring to a pigeon pass, the ring over the pad and it will read "unknown pigeon" or similar and also show the unique code for the ring. Make a note of code and ring number of pigeon and whenever that ring crosses the pad it will be recorded as unknown pigeon etc; It may seem like a lot of work but the more often used the easier it will get to cross reference code and pigeon and will be worth the effort.
  3. Many send to their first race at 100+ miles I think if well schooled, fit and in good feather they will cope and some could do well. Following a dose of YBS and getting them back to rights 100+ is the only option to no race at all
  4. Very difficult to answer is this one. It all depends how well the fancier can hold the pigeon which is down to the experience and confidence of the fancier. My reply can only be if the bird fits your hands comfortably, tapering nicely from a strong front across the wing butts and a downward sweep to a narrow tail the balance is fine. Hope this helps
  5. GT HARWOOD HS Will fanciers be on the lookout for Benzing G2 clock no 210279 and pad no 42801732 these were on loan to the late P Bibby and have recently been reported stolen . Anyone with any information tel 01254 823511 thankyou.
  6. Giggs could play his 1,000th game today, what an achievementPosted Image His wife has'nt found him yet then ?
  7. Had the same problem over the last few days. There is nothing wrong with them, if they are still separated they just do not need as much feed so cut down till they eat all in front of them. I reckon higher temps and humidity are the main reasons. Could even get down to half an ounce per bird to promote their appetite.

Came in today, looks like it has been out a week or so. No stamp or telephone ring, why do SHU not allow them.
  10. There has been many a stoater (GOOD GOAL) in the Sunday Post
  11. Delbar the base of many Dutch long distance families
  12. Thanks for bumping up, no luck yet though.
  13. Have had a message on my answerphone but not got a contact number. Can anyone help me get in contact ?
  14. Disregard the silly arguements about loft position, I`m sure the birds will sell. Very happy with mine from Colin last year.
  15. Is Bobby O'Keefe still alive and well ? A good friend of mine from way back, lost touch. He raced well back in the 70's
  16. Could anyone post the details of how to download/obtain the eagle owl cd. My birds have been attacked by sparrowhawks recently, I have put cds/discs around the loft which seem to be working as a deterrant for now. Would like a bit of insurance.

    Widhood Hens

I only asked about your cocks because you did not mention them, probabably because your question was how to race hens. You must be disappointed that no one has answered your question yet. Both cocks and hens of the Lambrecht family will race on widowhood and roundabout, they are short distance/inland pigeons but some have scored over the channel.

    Widhood Hens

I am sure someone will advise you how to race your widowhood hens. My question though is where are the cocks that came with them ?

    Free Cock Birds

Some details of breeding might get some interest. A well bred bird that has been down the road is worth a try for a new starter or someone needing to make up their pairs.
  20. Pen 21 not the best picture but a good looking pigeon.
  21. Why the anti Khan posts ? What has he done wrong ? I hope he wins
  22. If you go to this link each lot has a photograph http://www.rpra.org/OneLoftRaces/YoungBirds2010/YoungBirdAuction/tabid/240/Default.aspx the pictures were taken a couple of weeks ago so some will have improved in feather.
  23. There are 500 or so pigeons remaining in the loft(s) after the final race. These will be up for sale later this year. What happens to any of those that are not sold ?
  24. Might make an offer when it is available.
  25. Lets give him the snow flakes from Hell
