I agree with you a lot of fanciers use these things, but don't see any difference in the birds, its only to pacify themselves that it does what it says on the tin.

hi pair 2 hens to 1 cock split a widowhood box in half, pair the 1St hen to the cock let them hatch and rear a pair of young ,when young weaned split 1st pair for 1 week then pair 2nd hen to same cock, let them hatch and rear a pair of young when weaned ,the box should have 2 entrances into the same box.start training the hens to the empty box it is up to you if you show the cock on marking night or not ,lock them out of the box when not at racing or training the partition should be removed when they start training and each hen should have its own perch outside its own half of the box .on race day put the cock in the box with doors closed. GOOD LUCK. the cocks should be in another section all week until you need them wullie g

there is some good advice here. there is a lot of fanciers in your own area that wont sell you birds because you are competition to them.get your birds from as local to you as possible and do your homework as said before there is a lot of first class fanciers here in GB and you will get a good deal. a lot of good pigeons sold on hear good luck in your hunting ;)

not a good idea 100% barley, its to keep the weight of the birds during the winter months i would never feed any more than 50% omo. and that's after the moult is over.

I visited Geoff Kirkland in the eighties and he took me through his whole system including all his theories and one of them was the throat witch he went into in great detail and that he believed in it . a truer gentleman I have never met in our sport, and a great pigeon man.

better still hammer some tubes into the ground round the roots and feed the tree some creosote it works. ;)
