  1. the art of racing young birds is controlling there protein intake, once you understand that you have the key to the door

  6. birds should really want to fly and once they lose that gets the mind boggling, first questions would be what and how much are you feeding?
  7. well there obviosuly looking for something in the soil that you arent providing them? Id go with the idea that the birds have cocci,, going on how they've lost so much weight, but first i would check that you have plenty of vitamins available before treating them as they certainly have some form of difficency by rumaging in the soil,

  13. anyone lost a cockateil in the london area, every evening flys around with young birds, lands on the roof, but as of yet will not land in garden, will try and encourage down in next few days and hopefully bares a ring of owner
  14. feed twice a day you also have much more control over your birds, alot of people make the mistake racing young birds with too heavy of a mix, a young bird mix should contain plenty of barley, more of a 50% 50% mixture, this also gets them on the wing alot quicker. feed about desert spoon each in the morning in the hopper after fly if not letting out in morning feed them early as possible. in the evening feed alittle at a time to they stop eating the barley, once barley starts to be left feed no more
  15. well done sue!! starting to become a habbit congratualtions
  16. every year weve gone there its been fine, were racing from there today 216 miles, me saying that now will be a sh** race and will be cursing the racepoint lol

  18. still got food all over the gaff!! LoL glad you put the sputnick on the outside now any luck mate of letting them out? Have you got them used to your call?
  19. also would depend alot on what route you fly, as south and north roaders which would make it unfair for example in a north wind the north roaders would destroy the south roaders velocity
  20. No worries zuffy as i said before your welcome any time round mate!
