ian did u guys go on sunday then
-
i fly in angus fed and our birds were liberated on sunday by the sounds of all the posts on here . maybe just as well cause we only droped one out of 17 best returnes we have had this season , maybe there is alot of clashing going on ? don t know if there were alot of birds heldover but we certainly had a good race
-
read all the posts about breeding of there best pairs and all that WE HAVE and still have had BIG losses . the fed tryed tosses with the transporter last year with very good returns however this year has been a disaster for alot of clubs on the east coast i have spoke to alot of fanciers on the east who trained with the transporter this year and ALL had big losses they were sent to lethem in fife whitch is about 45 to 50 miles to us we sent 39 and lost 11 big chunck out of the team before racing most of the guys on the east side were all the same but the clubs inland had a differnt story they all had good returns is it that the birds now what is goiung to happen when flying the coast there is perigines working 7 miles from us and i don t now how many other pairs there is along the coast but it seems to me that the birds end up flying inland to aviod bops only to be draged up into aberdeen or futher the birds i got back from fife. well you would think that they would not get lost. first race was yesterday sent 19 missing 9 to date

its the only way .we all think this one is a good one, that one is good a one. and every year at the start of a season your full of excitment thinking this year they are going to fly better and don t . thing have to change. kill of the one that have nt produced year after year even though they have the best of ped or do you try a diffrent mate for another year to find out that the birds are the same YOU HAVE TO BE RUTHLESS

after picking up PMV last year in my y/bird team and having to stop racing did nt expect to much BUT what a season we have had we only fly in a small club with 5 members . starting with 14 widowhood cocks we have had 3 firsts, 7 ,2nds only three races out of the 12 that we did nt have 4 birds in first 6 we have had a brill season . This is the first time we have tryed across the water since starting up again and timed in both birds we sent we won the old bird ave,s for the first time and points cup . losses we have 8 cocks left out of 14 so plenty room for yearlings to come in if we have any left . we have kept birds since the 80 s with not alot of success my father gave up racing 8 years ago and when he retired 2years ago i decided to race what he had 3 years ago , got rid of all the sh*t and really started again and that is us reeping the rewards 3 years on with our 2 year olds and yearlings my father now cana wait for the weekends .its a pitty this season has to end . lets hope the y/birds do as well as the old girds
