after picking up pmv 2009 ,we did nt no what to expect for 2010 flying 15 widow cocks.These cocks flew fantastic even timing in 2 out of 2 from clermont which was one of our high points taking 2 nd club 11 fed in the angus fed and winning ten trophys in our club. Don t think we are going to change much with the old birds . the y/birds were disapointing they flew well round the loft flying for 2 hours but when it came to racing they were droping like flys .we started with 55 and bye the 3 race had 1/2 left . we were on the darkness and some were paired up before the racing don t now if these birds were 2 strong on the wing and maybe kept flying . all the team were on darkness so this year i m only going to put half the team ( have 2 sections ) on darkness to moniter what happens . all the best for the coming season to all the pb members

watch what ur doing lvlasked . u better keep an eye on them the cocks will scalp the hens

whole lot widows and stock so i can float eggs from the stock birds . why do u think its to early ?

only have 16 widowhood cocks and maybe try some of the hens only 8 and 2 latebreds if we still have them after training . only keep small team

Well thats all the birds paired up . only time i have to do this is on the holiday period . gives me plenty time to get them settled into there boxs

mine are almost finished body moult but still holding 3 to 4 flights some further on than others . last year when i paired up in december some still had one flight to throw

i used them last year for the first time and had no problems ,i m going to use them again this year .

is there anything the birds can pick up from slugs ? noticed other day some of the hens have watery dropping not too watery that is . and when i was cleaning the hoper noticed slugs had been all over it . have dealt with the slugs . just wandered if the birds could pick anything up

why are we worring . when the old bird season comes round the young birds that we are speaking about are going to encounter old bird racing with the same clashing . maybe we look to much into the birds we loss , they have to make a decission to come home on there own even if there is clashing. look at the birds that u still have from prevous years did they fly the full program as y/birds . i m not saying that every bird we lose are bad , i myself have had heavy losses since the start but the ones i have left seem to come home ok . clashing does nt help it just weeds them out. the strong from the weak

oh well!! abody is full of opinions . thought it was a antibiotic obviously i m wrong ,but it helped my birds ,same simptoms

go too ur local vet and ask for flajil (thats the way u say it not sure on the spelling) its a antibiotic 1/4 a pill for 3 days if it does nt pick up after that ur too late
