  1. Do you think that its the overfly increase or better flyin conditions in the east?. Do you think that your club/fed prog has made a difference. I canny believe that there are many less BOP(F****rs)on the east. I also canny believe that clashing can be any less as there must be north roaders gan up and doon. I realise that its a national club and it has to be for all members but think that a compromise in the race prog should be considered. Cheers steven
  2. Keep it up Alan youll defo get closer pal. Returns seem good
  3. How are the lads in the west doin frae these easterly points?
  4. Ye I know Alan and I was thinkin that as I typed but thats honestly wot the men doon here are thinkin mate. Was speakin last nite to a multi national winnin fancier who was sayin that clashin in eastern france is a major contributor in the racin we're havin. Now ive no looked into this but he was quite adament. Cheers
  5. Think the members doon here will be sayin their chance of competing at the top is less due to the easterly race points. I wouldny say it was some members I would say its most that ive spoken to.
  6. Perhaps the birdage drop is down tae a number o different factors, Losses, distance, inland nats and easterly lib points but I for one will still be sendin my best doos to the gold cup. Easier options from 400mile area are really hard to find for the back garden fancier sendin ones and twos to each water race. The SNFC is still the place tae be for me and although there may be probs we have tae get roon am sure we will and carry on. Best o luck to all who have sent. Cheers steven
  7. Sent 6 so far tae Reims, Bourges and Ypres got 5 back. 2from2,1from2,2from2.
  8. Youll defo get some starkly differing posts on this thread John. Me, the old boy and my uncle Jim Dalgliesh had a real good family of staffs down frae tranquility boy crossed in wae the best pallets and hessions we good get and theywon right frae 50 miles right oot tae 500miles. My dad was good mates wae a fella in Airdrie area who got a lot and won wae them just tae prove its no just in the deep south that they won. Top notch reliable doos. Cheers steven
  9. Go on yer sel Alan hope ye get a good yin. Cheers steven

  13. Gan wae two. 1x 2yr old hen was at reims and a yearling hen. 451 miles. Plans subject tae change
  14. Are you thinkin of gold cup doos gan back tae clermont? I am
  15. I think your right that the inland nat will stay. I also fear that the current crop of race points frae the channel will remain!. Im like u and want to see a return to the more traditional sites in France but it will go with the majority i suppose(perhaps rightly). Somebody suggested a inland nat with the west feds on one side of a transporter and the east and north on the other wae a staggered lib time. Initially i dismissed it but after a bit of thought Im no say sure. Awe the best Scottie Cheers steven
  16. Federation finances dictate different. Thats the pointy end of the prob. When my fed purchased a transporter from a levied fund we the members were told we could go tae the coast without a lift. Never happened in the last few years so if its not viable for a smallish fed like us in a smallish wagon then there will be a lot others that struggle
  17. Defo agree with the channel prog but still think that an inland nat frae somewhere might be beneficial for some fliers that set their stalls oot for it or maybe as an incorporated yearling thing. Money is always a consideration at this time and I think that a large birdage inland race wouldnt be a disaster as long as the timing was correct. JMO Steven
  18. Young man you need tae get doon tae the boozer where yer local fanciers frequent and get a roon in. Then stick aboot till they are merry and milk them for all they have. You will find that the best men canny resist telling a junior how tae dae it once theyve had a pint or four.Less talking and mare listeningg is the way tae learn mate. Cheer steven
  19. Well put mate but I think maybe a bit to far for most as a Gold cup. I bet there is still fanciers oot there that put as much into these doos as they do for Gold cup(me included). Cheers steven
  20. I sent 2x 2yr olds
  21. What was the problem wae the lib site at eastbourne? Have heard that a lib couldny take place because the site didny suit when the wind was strong. We had a race at weekend frae Ypres when the wind was strong so it canny be just strong winds that holds the libs. If there is a prob wae eastbourne site then it should be dropped. I would like tae see 1 inland nat frae newbury or the like and a yearling nat could easily be incorporated into that. Falaise,Rennes or Alencon,Niort or tours and I know fanciers still like a channel race from falaise or ypres after the gold cup. This is when we traditionally see yearlings being tested. JMO
  22. Sent2 Was gan tae be 3 but decide that van reet might be suited mare tae Clermont
