I am 38. Last night i sat at a table with the coombe family,Lumsden and colligan, john Little, Emil McCarton, Ed callaghan and me and the old boy. Emil and my Dad both commented that the number of young fliers pickin up trophies and sittin around was most encourageing. I feel that too much negative stuff is written about our fancy and its prospects. I had some excellent crack with the folk that wer there and members on here. I was last there in 83 and was much enouraged by the turnout and the amount of youthful faces pickin up prizes!! Sure we must be careful but we are not deed yet!!!!!!

I have a strip light in stock shed that on for one hour max after feedin at 5pm and thats it. Might no be natural but get some crackin younguns! two

Ye dinny like nestbowls when racin either(until later on). Like tae get younguns oot the way and plenty times tae get the racers in order.

Above my uncle jims performance they have also bred 1st secta 4th open falaise and 1st secta ypres and 13 fed winners for me and my dad and also countless winners for A&S Little, J Gilmour and the McCartons of Annan. Top notch doos.

As you know lewis me and my dad are huge fans of Jack Roberts delbars which have given us much joy doon the years. Top notch distance birds in my opinion but patience is a must with them as never got results until 3/4 yr old but timed two in two seconds from Gold Cup La Ferte Bernard and 4 in result for the best pigeon race in my life!!!! Top doos but where did they go?

Ye Lindsay the change of diet quickly can cause the bother but i am not a huge fan of the barley. I have noticed that if there is anything else tae eat then they will eat it before the barley! Then yer feedin must be perfect for you to give them all the protein and such that you wish to give them. The high protein is the way to go but must be given carefully in my opinion. I am hoping that i am sweeping my droppins up come june/july but think that the moult takes a lot oot of the birds at the mo and especially anybody bringin on latebreds cos they are still growin and will struggle on a moulting/winter mix Cheers Steven
