I don't know the area well enough, so my "knowledge" is pure hearsay. Pigeon men hearsay is something you have to take with a very large pinch of salt. Learn who to listen from in your own area, then tap their knowledge for as much info as they will give you. I still look forward to hearing your replies.
Matthew, it sounds callous, but I was told to worry about the ones in the loft and to forget the others. You will become used to it, but if you end up with half the pigeons you started with, you will have had an excellent season.
Well done Ryan. Our birds were split up from Fraserburgh. I think they were attacked and perhaps went to ground retreated back to where they were libbed. One was reported quite close to the lib point and he has been timing it regularly and on the result. Keep your eyes peeled for any SU rung pigeons with either A or AN on their rings just in case they managed to get caught up with your pigeons.
Excellent! I think he is from Kilmarnock area. I'll see what I am able to find out. I think he flew out of Newmilns in perhaps the Ballochmyle federation when it was on the go. I'm sure if you phone him you'll get some first hand info.
