  3. I have it South East or East South East, but I put up what information I am given. I don't know who informs our controller in the Dundee area.

  5. The Thurso pigeons have been liberated at 6.45. into a South East wind changing to West around the Dundee area. Clocks at 18.30. Best of luck everyone.
  6. Birsay pigeons were liberated at 6.15 into a light West wind on a sunny day. They cleared quickly and in one batch. Best of luck everyone.

  8. I don't know Darren's surname, but he did convoy for East Midlands at one time, I think.
  9. The pigeons have arrived safely at Thurso and are being readied for a race tomorrow. Much thanks for the care and attention given by the NRCC team of Merv and Darren.
  10. Birsay pigeons on route to Orkney. They have arrived at Thurso and have been put on the ferry. Everything looking good for a race liberation tomorrow. Many thanks must go to the Highlands and Islands Fanciers for their assistance. In particular Michael Miller for making the arrangements and getting them on the ferry and to Herbert MacKenzie for taking care of them on Orkney and liberating them from Birsay.
  11. I'm the shortest at 239, Kilmarnock fliers around 248 and Maybole around 267 measured. They have to dogleg over to Fraserburgh which adds at minimum 85 miles and up to over 185 miles depending where they cross the Moray Firth.
  12. 1 Carrick fancier sent 1 pigeon and 3 Valley sent 8. Ayrshire North Road Federation sent 9 pigeons to Birsay for Friday 21.07.17 race. Best of luck everyone.

  16. Having been involved with pigeon people for far less time than yourself John, I am nevertheless sure you will agree with me that they are unable to agree on the colour of snow. If the members use their vote at Club level they are still being allowed their say. If the Club reps then perform their task the Club is being given its say, but this time far less people to disagree in regard to just exactly which colour it is. The final decision may be arrived at with somewhat less rancour and there is a better chance we agree that snow is actually a sort of greyish white greeny blue colour.
