Good afternoon all. Been out early today to service the car. Parked on the road there for a wee while, travelling at a snail's pace. A lot better on the way home until I reached my own access road, then it became treacherous again for the last mile or so.

Dave Hales has some excellent pigeons and because he doesn't seek publicity he does not receive the proper recognition.

Excellent Walter, just as it should be helping each other out. I'm sure you will sort him out with something at a later time. This is the way I remember fanciers working together to help each other.

Big membership push in the 90's and as I said my lassie also became involved and that was the only reason I stayed in it so long. She was West of Scotland Junior Mensa organiser so I had to stay in because of her age. Quite an expensive social club for smart arses, but it allowed you the opportunity to massage your ego, if you wanted. :D

Shows are for winter fun, to be taken with a pinch of salt. Racing is where it counts. A true test of fancier and pigeon as a team, so long as you have the luck to avoid airborne highwaymen.

Good read again Walter. I always enjoy your stories. Rab is a good guy. Eyesign, like a lot of others, the jury is out and may stay out, but there must be something in it when you hear stories like this. I think it just depends on the eyesign expert, because some might not be as good as others and it will be them who gets eyesign a bad name. There is a big difference between experts and enthusiasts. Great read and look forward to some more, you must have loads of stories to tell.

He was not a member in 1996, 1999 or 2006 according to the only year books I have to hand, however since my membership is also lapsed, that does not mean he was never a member.
