  1. I don't know about catching it, but it can be transmitted via their hair. Don't let anyone pet your pets. When exercising, keep them on the lead. Cats should be kept in the house because if they are allowed out, you have no idea where they are going and who may touch them. They could then bring the virus into your home via their hair. True for all animals, horses, etc.
  2. Good offer.
  3. Good morning all.
  4. Good morning all.
  5. Glasgow & District Federation of Racing Pigeon Clubs are attempting to clarify their position regarding the forthcoming auction which is being ran through Glasgow Federation News and Updates. Glasgow Federation News and Updates is a Facebook Page owned and operated by an individual and is not officially anything to do with Glasgow & District Federation of Racing Pigeon Clubs. Whilst accepting that this auction is being organised for a very worthy cause Glasgow & District Federation of Racing Pigeon Clubs wish to make it completely clear that the auction has absolutely nothing to do with them.

  7. Good afternoon all.
  8. RPRA have indicated that road training pigeons under any pretext will be considered as incorrect conduct and result in disciplinary actions. The reason being that if the pigeons stray, either due to attack or any other reason, that would mean there would have to be an un-necessary journey for the pigeon to be repatriated. I don't think the SHU have issued a similar directive, but, given the uncertainty of when or if racing will start, is there any real need for road training at this point.
  9. Good afternoon all.
  10. I'm still bathing mine inside just now. SH about sometimes and I can't always be there.

Yet another anomaly in the SHU rules. I expect this should be clarified and may mean that if the specialist club has not paid their SHU fees, then the SHU will assume they are no longer specialist club members, but I don't know if this is what it means. If this was the case it would have been included to cover fanciers who were not federation club members, but were members of a specialist club.
  14. Swifts and martins are here just now. Loads of activity within the natural world at the moment.
  15. Good morning all.
  16. Good morning all.
  17. Glasgow hasn't discussed it yet, but I would think some short Any Age Races if there is space or perhaps Saturday & Sunday Races or Weekend Midweek. There aren't many other options. It will be largely dependent on when and if we are allowed any racing this year.
  18. Well done Lindsay.
  19. Good morning all.
  20. Roly, this was before the stresses of overpopulated BOP. YB's have to run the gauntlet every time they are out, so 150 miles would be plenty. Perhaps this shutdown might make us rethink and perhaps train them out to 100 or so miles during October and November.
  21. Good morning all.
