  5. he can only have the power the members allow him to have, if u make sure u are doing ur job instructing ur delegates how and what to do, they are ur messengers, and i think there is a little more delegates than presidents, he is only one man, and even with his other officials they are only 3, still well out numberd, if clubs and feds do their jobs properly.
  6. leaving 2 moro 0815hrs, so early rise in the morning.
  7. cheers wiley m8

  10. collect it at stall 61,
  11. you only have 14 days after anything to lodge an appeal, surely, and this is the problem today, officials iether dont know the rules or the are getting away with not going by them, the only way any organisation will run without hassle is going by the one and only BOSS, the rule book, thats the boss, and its put there by the members, if there is any dispute the answer is always there in the rule book, thats the only boss you can have,
  12. i agree only the basket will tell if they are any good, but when purchasing birds i like to see what they are from, if u dont have them how can u claim they are a certain breed of birds etc.
  13. Calm Down Pete ! ITS ONLY A DELIVERY" ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D tv advert
  14. no sorry i didn't mean u said he was a figurehead, i ment he shouldnt be as such. in other words not the boss so to speak, sorry i missled u, now adays i think most organisations only have a president who is the chairman at meetings, and if he is absent the vice president takes over, or a chairman can be elected from the body of the hall if none of the officials are there,
  15. i bred from them last year for stock but raced one as a youngster, was my first bird home each race never wonn but in the clock and just out of the winners but very steady,
  16. i bought some wildemeersch at blackpool last year at the porter and richardson sale. bred a few so hoping to get a good team bread this year from them,
  17. First of all in his executive role he is certainly no figurehead, he takes the chair at meetings and general meetings, it is his responsibility allong with the secretary to ensure the correct and smoot running of the club in accordance with the rules, to this end he should be well conversant with the rules and the various obligations to the members, it is also vitally important for the chairman to have a confident grasp of committee procedure and the conduct of meetings, the chairman is often the face of the club, representing it at outside functions, so should be able to handle those tasks as a chairman should.
  18. a few years back when the old pigeon sport was on the go, i was a bottle of scotch short, and told him i would make it up to him one day,

  22. tut tut lol ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D
  23. i must say johno,i think its been a good thread, i have learnt a lot about things and its all been in good standing, no agro, and i didn't think there were other feds going down the same road ie paying up front, which i do not have any trouble with if its done correctly, and fair, i do believe there should be a limit on birdage then if u are over u pay, because in most clubs u are racing for prize money so the more birds u put in the more u pay surely, they want pigeon racing classed as a sport, they will never get that if one fancier could put in 60 entries for the same price as one puting in 10, i certainly cant think of a sport u can.
