Read in this weeks BHW, a fancier reporting in the letters column that he is being summoned to court on 3/2/06 after defying notice from the local planning department to get rid of his pigeons and to remove the lofts. His neighbour had complained of the noise, nuisance and general disturbance. What next ? We had another of our Forum members who mentioned someone undergoing the same treatment ( can't remember the name ) I wonder how he got on. This guy is seeking support and asking if you have any suggestions, could you phone him on 028 7082 3173 or mail him on mickeymuffins@hotmail.co.uk If he is another one that loses this, it opens the door wide for more of us getting the same treatment. Maybe then we'll complain of the neighbours dog barking all day long or the sweet sounding canaries making too much song. Sad, Sad, people.

Hi Speckled, Thanks for the comment, About 15/16 days, won't be moved until 28 days old. I make absolutely certain they can fend for themselves. It's just a matter of making sure they don't come out of the box onto the floor or go into another nest box by mistake. I've seen some serious scalping with young un's doing this.

yes but not very successfully, thay are really just her pets. She likes to hear them sing but they are also very frail and when she loses one, she is upset for a few days.

Sadly, two clubs in our town and I can't think of one youngster between us. I would say at a guess, the youngest person between each club is 40-41yrs old.

Good or bad for the racing pigeon ?

I HATE cats because of what I've seen them do to other birds and other small animals, besides our pigeons, they play with them before killing them. They are however somebody's pet and I would much sooner them be DETERED from the garden, rather than DESTROYED.

I've used cat scarers and asked the forum if they think they worked. Some said yes, some said no. I've used milk bottles and the plant Bruno correctly calls " cats p*ss. " Not sure whether any of them work, I don't at the end of the day, think you can beat a good Jack Russell.
